A good way to start a 0 death game: plant 10 potatoes , all around the border at the left half of the farm but with space for the shop and the sell spot. Harvest and sell 2 potatoes. Buy 10 more seeds at the shop. Plant 4 potatoes near the ogre. harvest and sell 6 potatoes. Buy premium seeds and plant them in the 8 freed up spots. Harvest and sell the 2 remaining potatoes which aren't close to the ogre. Plant the remaining 2 premium seeds. Buy 10 normal seeds. Plant them around the border near the ogre, while feeding them to the ogre. Do this till you run out of seeds. Harvest and sell 2 premium potatoes. Buy "organic potatoes" upgrade. Harvest and sell the remaining 8 premium potatoes. At this point you should have 295 money, the organic potatoes upgrade and the ogre at 20% or less. But with the money you can buy a lot of upgrades and seeds, so you should be able to keep the ogre bar at the same or even increase it, while while still farming premium potatoes for money too.

@Fritz_b: You have to time your mid-air jump better. Try doing the mid-air jump when reaching the highest point of the first jump. This gets you higher than double-jumping instantly.
Had difficulties solving level 14, tried using the magnet a lot but it didn't work. After watching a walkthrough, I saw my setup was correct, but it failed due to the buggy magnet (doesn't attract the steam detector even when powered with electric energy).
Managed to get all achievements and a perfect score on the secret final challenge 3-4 years ago. Now, I can't even get a perfect on any pro songs anymore :(
Here's a challenge: try beating the game without killing people/destroying turrets. If you accidentally do one of those things, die and restart from last checkpoint. Beating the game this way is possible, I just did it :)
The pacifist run has been made! Sadly the highscores records only the max you did, but Maybe soon I'll make a new leaderboard for pacifist! its just fun making new stuff when I got some free time.
True. If you have maxed Blacksmith Expertise, and make a GODLY PICK, there's only a 1/102626 chance for it to have +71 or better. Getting a GODLY PICK is a 1/754 chance (from 454 gems/pick). So getting a GODLY PICK +(71 or more) is about 70 times as rare as a 64 TIMES GODLY PICK.
Hmmm, I've overlooked something: you could theoretically get an unlimited amount of + bonusses, so there is no upper limit for the pick quality. The pickaxe type must be worse than X TIMES GODLY PICK because they can't get + bonusses. You'd need a pick with at least +71 to have a chance of it being better than the best 64 TIMES GODLY PICK.
If anyone gets the 64 TIMES GODLY PICK, i'd be amazed already. There is a 1/1110827 chance to get one if you're using the 454 gems/pick. There is a 8/130 chance for the pickaxe to be Mythical, assuming you've maxed Blacksmith Skill. There's about a 1/1000000 chance that it's the best Mythical. Multiply these chances to get an estimate of the chance of getting a 9648.54% quality pick. Roughly 1 chance in 10^13? Note: X TIMES GODLY PICKs can't get + bonusses.
I've managed to look into the game files, and calculated the best pickaxe possible: Mythical 64 TIMES GODLY PICK; Qual: 9648.54%.
While it is possible to get it, the chance is so low that nobody will actually get this pickaxe.

As for me, I've only got a Blacksmith Efficiency upgrade (36% chance now) and about 120000 gems gained since last post.
It's 10 days with closed browser (closed on the max g/s hellstone) with my 2533% quality pick. Idle power is 62% atm so it would take like 6 days with browser open. But if i have the browser opened, i let it auto-mine on the highest hellstone that's 1-hit-able for max gems income, which reduces the gold income. That method gives about 1 blacksmith upgrade each 20 days, but also 5642 gems/hour.
Less than 2000 gems for that quality pick? That's really good luck! It's possible to run out of gems fast, even if you have 2 million of them. I used around 223000 gems in 1 minute (with 454 gems/pickaxe) to get a 2533,47% one :) http://i.imgur.com/g8sTeRj.png. Getting very good pickaxes is about the only way to progress at this stage, getting 1 blacksmith upgrade takes about 10 days.

The high active power and amount of gems are from letting my pc on for some nights, on the highest hellstone lv. that my auto-click could 1-hit (=hellstone lv. 115 atm).
