This is hapenning to my gunner right now.
It's be nice if the creator expanded the game window a bit to place the controls outside the battlefield, and place tips and important messages like incoming arty separate from button tooltips. I missed quite a few that showed up just as I was hovering a button.
The key is to play the game several times, while trying your best each time. You gain overall experience with each play and you eventually gain ribbons that improve your squad on startup, enabling you to go further.
The flamethrower is lame for both sides. Yours won't hit much, and neither will the enemy's. My men have escaped numerous times from direct fire, especially if you take them away from trees.
The medics should stop shuttling between patients healing 1 hp each at a time. Make them only switch patients when there is a health difference of 15 or so. I think they should heal faster too, they can spend 50 waves healing a guy and yet he's still wounded enough to die with only 1 shot.
Parts of the scenery sometimes will suddenly disappear, like a rock I was hiding behind. By the way, I think rocks and solid objects other than trees and bushes should block movement. And what's that blue yellow-fringed blotch?
The soldiers don't shoot dead people, they're shooting wounded enemies who are below 10 health or something. When the enemy is really dead they won't shoot him. But I agree it sucks, the soldiers should prioritize standing enemies, and pick on the dying only when they have nothing to shoot.
