I, for one, think adding story line to a 'standard' bullet hell game is a nice touch...decent little story too. It makes me want to go ahead and play through the entire game. The type of upgrades were pretty unique too; at least compared to the other games in this genre that I have played. The only suggestion I would give is to make the bullet animation a bit more 'magical' in appearance; looks a bit too much like a ships laser fire and what not. Other than that, nice job!
Thanks. :D Originally I wanted sparkles and crap to trail on most of the shots, but more particles = more lag, and I wanted to keep the game as smooth as possible. I'll probably explore that kind of stuff again in the sequel though.
I would definitely like to see this story continued in a follow up...+it and hopefully the developer and the wonderful artist Stephanie Herrera will consider it.
I like it! Nice unique twist on what's becoming a pretty bland genre. Cool artwork and a nice selection of towers. A little tweaking and it would go from a good game to a great game...still, I give it a 5/5 for a solid effort at making a very playable and different TD game.
I really enjoyed this game, and the fact that it IS challenging; not just a mindless brute-force style TD. In my opinion, it is one of the top 3 TD games that I have played...and I have played quite a few. One suggestion though. I believe it would be a good idea to give just a bit more time at the beginning of a battle to place your defenses. Definitely 5/5.
The game has quite a few decent ideas, but is also plagued by a number of major issues. Your character get too strong too quickly; and combined with a very poor AI makes the game almost unplayable as any strategy used by the enemy or needed by the player is virtually pointless. For example, in 1-on-1 battles, even though the enemy has a lot of mana, they barely use it. And if they do, they use it ineffectively or arbitrarily. But in addition, the fact that your character ALWAYS goes first, the spell 'silence' literally guarantees you are going to win since the enemy can't use any spells. I went through pretty much the entire game just using silence, energy burst and blood siphon and never lost a match. Those were just a couple of problems that should be addressed. Again, there are some good ideas: souls for skills, gathering soldiers and having to build supply structures; but the game just has too many balance and AI troubles to be anything but a way too easy repetitive grind.
Great high quality game! This one could easily go casual commercial I believe...fun concept, tight controls, good graphics/sound and nice amount of variety. It is one of the few that makes me want to get all the stars on each level. Kudos! 5 stars!

Besides what has already been said in the highest rated comments, "The End of Hope" was a tad anti-climatic...thought there would be a bit more of an additional ending after busting my ass getting to it. Also, most of the spells don't seem very helpful once you get to some of the later campaigns. Actually, almost the only spells I used through most of the game was rage and defense, and am not sure if they significantly helped or not. On a better note, the artwork and music were great. The foundation is already laid for a fantastic game if it was a bit more fleshed out...but I'll play the next one regardless.
