Are you guys going to update the game anytime soon? The planes need balancing - the basic one is probably the best and the level 10 one is completely useless as of right now. Also, new planes would be appreciated.
I like it. But the "upgrade" system is confusing - when you upgrade an elite soldier to its "next" version, the new class doesn't keep any of the abilities the "previous" one had, making it an entirely new unit, rather than an improved one - that often weakens your troops, especially in the low-level game, as upgrading a unit usually means as much as giving it some more HP and damage at the cost of all of their abilities, which hardly seems like an improvement at all. The first tier thieves, for instance, are just awesome at dealing with heavily armoured enemies, but the next two tiers fail at it miserably, while they cost incomparably more. If you made them cost less upon hiring, it would be much more balanced, as they're pretty much a different unit, rather than an upgraded one.
I tested what you described about a year ago, but then decided to make as it is now. In some cases tier1 units are more valuable than tier2, and it increases the available tactical schemes.
It's great you guys make games and money at the same time, but was it really necessary to have this series focused on money-making so much? This game almost feels like a demo now...
As much as I like the game, I find it extremely annoying that turrets always aim at targets they aren't "designed" to destroy when they have other targets of opportunity. Cannons shooting at ghosts all the time, mage towers killing everything but flying monsters... That's very discouraging to play after the first few levels, please fix this.
I've obliterated everything, killed hundreds of thousands blood-thirsty aliens, saved my dear comrades and pushed technological advancement of my species to another level, and all I get in return is Gulf War syndrome. FML
A surprisingly good game. I'm glad someone's finally realised llamas are not what they make you think they are. I only wish the restart would take shorter and that your car were given half second or so of invulnerability each time it loses a life.
Despite decent graphics, pretty interface and some innovative features, this game is very unpolished: no performance or sound settings accessible while playing; weapon upgrades don't change much; you spend most of the time hunting your foes instead of trying to survive their attacks; the arrows pointing dropped items and supplies don’t always work; the game is run at a resolution discouraging to play - it should be as square as possible, allowing you to defend yourself from enemy attacks from all sides at the same chance, with your sight as far as possible in all directions - and for the same reason the camera should be zoomed out more; the pop-up messages cover your view furthermore, disabling you from dodging properly; and, finally, the 'standard' gameplay gets boring after a while - you don't ever get to effectively kick ass all over the map, nor are you ever met with a challenging enemy – you just strafe and empty half or more of your clip on a single target at all times.
A total of 8 thousand +'s for comments with suggestions to make this game better couldn't make the dev utter a single response in one and a half year after the game's release but a quotation of in-game line made them reply in less than a day O_o
