I loved the other Monster's Dens, was really looking forward to this release. Dig the new classes and design -- but when I have to grind with my Level 3 party against Level 1, and struggle while doing it, well... it's just not fun. I see I'm not the only one who feels this way.
I kinda enjoy the grinding so I enjoyed the game a lot. I beat the game with the Knight at level 31. I'm level 39 with the Axeman and I'm getting my butt kicked. What gives?
This game falls in the same trap as every other adventure game: you must think exactly like the game developer to advance the story. Doesn't offer much creative thinking, rather "think like me or you'll get stuck." Nice music and graphics, however.
Dove right in and played to level 9. Game started lagging so I saved and came back... only to find game didn't save. Don't bother playing unless you plan on beating it in one sitting.
Yeah, I rated this game 4 stars until I got to the end. It's one thing to want to beat the boss because it's a challenge, but after a while it's just not entertaining anymore -- especially when it gets lucky breaks time after time. 2 stars.
I enjoyed the first one a lot. Not sure about 2 -- I appreciate the new features, but actual GAMEPLAY took a step back. I still don't understand why bosses drop goodies for OTHER classes, not yours.
But what really ruined it for me is that I took a quest because it was going to give me a good bow (I'm a ranger). I finished the quest, returned to the green circle quest-giver, and he GAVE ME ARMOR FOR A WARRIOR. I refreshed the browser to reset and go back to the same guy. To my surprise he's in the "already gave you a quest" state, but the warrior armor is no longer in my inventory. Basically I got double f*cked.
I'm only level 20 but as of this incident I'm no longer playing this game.
2 out of 5 stars.
