I was against cautious CPU, I had passed 10000 with 10900 he was on 6900. So he is going into his last turn and gets 4050 points and wins, but instead of being angry I was happy because I got 3 awards in 1 game:

lvl 8 is a piece of cake, just make sure you have a the skillpoints in focus.
Build 2 towers near the minor monsterbase and put 2 lvl 3 gems in it, then place a tower near end of the road and combine 2 lvl 3 gems to make one of lvl 4 and put it in the tower.
