I loved this game. It is a very rare occurrence that I will be so touched by something, so moved by it, that I will feel for the characters as they develop and progress. This game has done just that; you should be very proud of yourself for making it.
(Pt 2, comment was too long :P)
If you always focus on what others want and live your life to make the people around you happy, it will only make things harder for you. You'll lose yourself along the way, and your thoughts will cease to be yours as the world becomes darker through your perspective and you become caught up in the expectations of others. You'll take on a 'realistic' view on life, but that realistic view will be influenced by your constant following other's orders, which will result in you becoming pessimistic and dark. Your relationship with the people who only want things you ceases to be a good thing, and in the end it will develop into dependance from both sides - in a negative way. They will try to make your life easier and help you out, but you'll never really be able to gauge if it was really worth it.
This game was really good, 5/5.
Guess I'll try analyzing this, since I love these sorts of thought provoking games.
If you focus on being an individual and always rebelling against what people want, than you'll start to see everything in a new perspective. While your independence will bring you happiness and add color and fulfillment to your life, it will separate you from people. Even if the people seem demanding and trying to tell you want to do, they still rely on you and love you, and your focus on doing what you think and not what others think will create a distance between you that will really hurt them.
This storyline is greatly moving and saddening, and provoked a very depressing emotional response from me. I was so touched upon seeing the final report that I was nearly brought to tears. This truly is a masterpiece of a game, and is nothing short of beautiful.
There was a glitch on level nine which cause all of my body parts to be sucked into a hole. The hole grinded the up and gave me all the points, then shot them out through another gap.
On the level a bridge to far, the collision detection really pisses me off. Normally you can cope with it, but on levels where you have to run across blades, it really is annoying. Other than that, the game is great.
