Since bosses are immune to EVERYTHING, it just comes down to hammering their HP down. As opposed to common enemies, where you actually have to use strategy and figure out what statuses you should inflict upon them.
Well, son-of-a-b****. I purchased the upgrade for my starter grenadier to use a flamethrower, and that apparently now unlocked grenadiers for the entire game. Looks like it's time to restart...
"server may recognize duplicate file name and automatically rename it. Can't do anything with it."
No, that means you programmed the save game poorly. Learn from this mistake and save your file using a persistent save game name that stays the same between versions. This site is littered with flash games having save files that do not erase between versions. Learn from them.
Failed the second level 8 times before I realized that the gas drains whether or not you hold down the accelerate button, so you should always hold it down.
Fun game. Melee troops are useless, sux that there's no way to reset your game, and ranged troops are OP. Put everything into archers until you get warlocks, and then concentrate on $$$ and free trade. At the end, you'll want to spawn Elves, Warlocks, and Wizards to overrun the enemy.
Leveling up at the end becomes super frustrating when you can only complete ONE quest at a time for no rhyme or reason, when we were able to pursue 3 quests simultaneously until that point. Either allow us to pursue 3 quests simultaneously throughout the game, or give us a reason why you took away 2 other quests.
Tips:
(1) Don't get the new troops! Grenadiers, Marksmen, and Riflemen suck. Only get AA at the end
(2) Don't get the car! It prevents you from "choosing" a party of all AA's
(3) Don't get Heroic Dash! Unless you want to drop your party into enemy ambushes
(4) At the end, with Nanobots, HP armor, rockets, a party of just AAs, and the epic lag that results from 17 heat-seeking missiles on the screen simultaneously, getting the hard badge is a cinch.
Tips - Go back and collect minions you missed after you get the 3rd seal. At the end, it's all about speed. Get 4 of your fastest minions and speed gem them. 1 tank to redirect damage and heath it. Then spec your minions for highest damage (on guard bubble levels) or spread damage (on replacement minion levels). Super fun game.
For level 45, keep building up, and when the other side attacks, just send ALL of your troops against the big pirate (going to need lots of blobs, at least 2 of which are maxed out). Once you take over the big pirate, the game is easy.
For those of you who think the AI plays "perfectly," analyze your opponents carefully. Red tends to focus on lab, blue on fortresses, and black on building more jellies. All tend to focus on the "weakest" territory first. You can defeat them even tho' you're handicapped at the beginning of each round BECAUSE each opponent favors certain strategies over others. It starts getting tricky when you have multiple opponents, since you need to use one strategy against one opponent and a different strategy against the other.
even better with the machinegun turret ;D
