TL;DR. Buy and upgrade Vaagur, then stop wasting hero souls on ancients. RESPEC EATS HERO SOULS, YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.
0.12 is underwhelming. We basically have to spend hero souls (i.e. DPS) to get the bonuses they used to give. Worse, we can't even freely experiment with ancients, because of at least 2 respec bugs:
1. After respec, Vaagur is no longer in the first draw. Let's spend hero souls until the lucky draw finds him in the crowd of useless ancients.
2. Respec eats hero souls. This already wasted a few days worth of clicking (150 HS, if not more) and it's reason to just quit the game.
How did I find out that ancients are useless? Well, I bought and upgraded a few, noticed that my progression slowed to a crawl. Great, I'll just respec and have a smarter selection. Oops, I have now half the hero souls I used to have, that's before being forced to buy Vaagur.
