well its better than balloon in a wasteland. which is what this game copies from. I cant beat the game in six minuets so it is better than the original
I really enjoyed the game. if I had any complaints they would be that its too easy, short, and your weapons should have ammo numbers up constantly. other than that its really fun and I like the silly setting
the point of a CCG is to make you think, and when I am required to put more brain power into playing Tyrant than any other CCG then you have problems. This is one of the most brainless games I have ever played, you just click a monster, there's practically no point in spells or equipment because the winner of this game is determined by who can get more monsters out on the field, doesnt even matter what monster it is. There's not even a story or a mythos to enhance the atmosphere and get you excited about the cards. It might as well be a browser based game.
Im not really sure how to feel about this, on one hand I think the game has great potential. I think I can see what the developers were going for, wanting to create this mishmash of all of these great game genres and come out with lightning in a bottle, but it ends up being like nachos and ice cream. The city building is just buildings that give you recources, you never feel like you are actually making a city. the combat is just masturbation, and there is so much micromanaging that it make me want to scream.
it seems to be a bit of a system hog, it lagged so much that I couldn't even play it. Perhaps a quality setting would help.
And yes I understand that its mainly my computer
Long: Your shop is a small room. You and your craftsmen are just cramped inside and working on tables and work benches. There is no sense of actually owning a shop because they made it so fake. You will often, and by often I mean all the time, have the problem of; when two workers are idle they will all stand on the same square and it hard to select just one of them. You are actually even more limited with the amount of available resources. They give you the ability to invest in the production of resources but it feels so basic. Just give it money. Then they tell you that you can invest in other merchant shops, which is a joke. But instead its an awkward, ugly, poorly written, barely tested and ungodly boring waste of time.
