Excellent game. The sandbox mode gets boring pretty quickly, unfortunately. For those asking what becomes what, here's the quick list. Note: THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS A SECONDARY STAT. THE HIGHEST STAT DETERMINES THE JOB. Male: (P,D,M) Duelist, Gunslinger, Dragoon. Female: (P,D,M) Magilancer, Mirage Caster, Sorceress. Apprentices get a fame multiplier bonus and remember: if you're going for a certain type of class and the apprentice you're training doesn't have the right stats for it, you can keep leveling them beyond level 10 to see if the highest stat changes.
Ugly as sin, background extremely distracting and makes it hard to swiftly understand what the platforms and barriers are, fights are either too easy (most commonly) or too hard (no sliding scale of difficulty) with no variation in music. Campaigns aren't really campaigns.
A quirky, lovely, cohesive game. Very nicely done. However! It bothered me to no end that although the cat swings on the chopsticks, this momentum means nothing! Move as fast as you like and it still drops straight down. For me, one or the other has to give.... 4/5
NO challenge. It's hold down the 1st mouse button and move around the screen. You don't even have to pay attention to anything, just swoop and shoot.
Writing is horrible. The music is bad. The upgrades are pointless. It's just a weak title made good by lots of detail. 3/5, would not play again.
A lot of you seem to be missing the gems at the top of the map. Do a dash off the highest point on the tower to the right and double jump as soon as you reach the same height you started as. You'll smack into a wall with the very last set of gems. Carefully walk off the edge and you'll get the last blue gem. Then you're home free.
