The card game is fun, but the platformer parts of the levels aren't very fun due to slow, unresponsive controls. The card game AI is also quite lacking, good thing we can play against other players. The deep question thing has also already been done before and was executed better. Sorry! (Catherine, to name the most recent.)
Parting gift + peasant army = easy victory against all levels.
you just need a lot of gold cards and a few other resources, and just send out the peasants slow enough that they get killed easily. Who'd think beating the game would be as easy as letting the enemy kill your weakest units?
despite the little 3d rendering you did and what few drawn characters appear. I think this is going to be a tough sell for 10 bucks. it's still just a simple "where's waldo" game.
I actually liked this game enough to 100% it. Although you may have been inspired by upgrade complete, I'm afraid you surpassed it. Not that that's very hard to do... I mean it was just sheer addiction, this had some meat to it.
Fun game.
However...
the bonus quest is a little to extreme for me. Too bad you can't start it after you've beaten the game once.
And for those of you who don't know where the keys are...
The silver one randomly appears in empty rooms with one entry.
The gold ones are randomly behind silver doors.
the master key is behind a random gold door.
And the master key opens up the gray door next to the start aria.
It REALLY helps if you draw a map.
