Frankly, this is a great idea, but poorly executed. Would've been wonderful if the gameplay was not so sluggish and unclear. Most scenes were too dark, and I couldn't see any path even when adjusting the brightness & contrast of my screen. The fact that the kid's sprite moved akwardly, jumped oddly, and couldn't be used to find effectively where are the walls and ceilings were, made it so that in the end I was just annoyed at the game, and that's the kind of reaction you don't want to give in a game like this.
Well, I've got to say, this is stupid.
And, yeah, I finished the game without help.
For starters this is not in the room escape genre at it says it is (no moving from place to place to solve stuff, puzzles are not related). Peace tank - half off for 15$ is misleading (I thought I had to wait for 15 sec before shooting), animations take too long and you have to wait for them to stop. Also, some puzzles are stupid, like when you have to turn off the light... you just do it once and never have to touch it again.
I could stay here describing more problems with this game, but it's just not worth it.
If you want people to think outside the box, you can do it in MUCH better ways.
Ugly, Buggy, Pointless, Awful concept, Badly designed, Bad gameplay, Bad music... I don't have enough words to describe how horrible this is.
1/5 it deserved less though
I'm not very shure, is this supposed to be a danmaku or methodic shooter? I find it a little too easy. I usually take some days to finish a danmaku shooter on normal, and I don't have much experience with methodic shooters, but I finished this game with lots of lifes remaining. Also, I find it a little too slow, the screen too small, and mouse movement should be restricted due to "warp" cheating. Also, it takes too long to absorb powers, so the game goes way too slowly.
fast review time> 1) concept - poor. Your traditional eat & grow bigger game. 2) creativity - awful. You'd expect something new, but the only change is a cosmetic one. Now we have dogs instead of fish. 3) implementation - THIS IS HORRIBLE. An avoider can't be lazy on collision detection and this one is clearly so. Not to mention that I don't feel comfortable with dogs that eat with their backs, nor with dogs that are controlled like a car, and neither with AI dogs that can only move in a single direction. Also, the games lags from time to time, and it's related to the music, so changing the quality doesn't help. VERIDICT > 1/5 not worth a challenge
controls are laggy
the game lags with the music as well
also moving diagonally is faster ¬¬ and it smells lack of programming. Also, I can't conceive a game that calls itself the hardest game having a tutorial
