Great game, lovin it,
maybe in the future you can have an option of " prioritizing targets" fighters, covettes what not,
or even have subspace system fire like engines but then this wouldnt be an idle game! lololol
i dont think you should give control of the fleet or able to directly command, this wouldnt be an idle game then, maybe just... have the option of prioritizing targets, and maybe the fighters to have " guard mode" so as not to go blindly by themselves

It seems to me that the direct control will not conflict with idle. In some modes (against players for example) I will disable control
the more you conquer vassals the higher multiplier it should give, the needed orbs gets higher but the rewards stays the same at 10k? first i needed 5 orbs, then 9 orbs, etc etc. just my two cents though otherwise great game!
