I wanted to like this game, but the cost jumps are just way too much and require way too much time grinding away in order for it to be fun. 5/5 for originality, but 2/5 for execution. Overall 3.5/5
Another great game by ClarusVictoria. I recommend investing in growing your food and population limit as much as possible. Once you can start trading, make sure to keep an eye on how close you are to being rewarded a general, tech point, building, etc. Making choices on one level can have a multiplier effect if done right a few levels later.
That being said, I really have enjoyed this game so far. I can't get much further in this game after act II, but I really do like the story, environment, and feel of the game. It just needs a little rebalancing in my opinion.
I think this game could use a little rebalancing as well. What good is making a game when only 1 out of every 1,000 people who play it can reach the end?
I found a bug in the game. When I try to reload my saves after Leo's bear clogs up the elevator and causes a glitch, the reloaded saved game nothing like how I left it. There are no stores and everything is grey. The only thing that stands out is Leo's bear. I'm losing my saves because of this and it has made me change my rating of this game from a 5 star to 1 star because this game takes so long to make any progress!
there's a glitch where the quick, black scare doesn't always pop up at the window. I removed all of the steam from the window, then left and came back again and even tried making it like the tree in the picture and still nothing happened
4. Right clicking is annoying in comparison to just doing a regular click since it makes playing the game on a laptop a bit more frustrating (this is a personal pet peeve of mine as I play these games on a laptop rather than a desktop).
5. If there is a way to reduce the lag due to reducing the quality, that would be greatly appreciated as after a few levels the game starts to run a little slow.
6. A spot to manually save the game would be a nice addition as well.
Despite these improvements, the game is already one I am looking forward to playing when it is in its beta stage and ready for release! Good job and good luck on completing the project.
I think this game can be a very fun game, but it requires a number of improvements:
1. The game should have a map in the corner so you can know how much of the map you have covered.
2. The movement speed of the players is ridiculously slow and makes the levels where you have to search for the zombies and try to find searchable objects take a very long time.
3. I know you don't want the tutorial to be too complex or make it so that it is holding the game player's hand too much, but a few more details would be helpful.
Once you buy the upgrade there is a button on each item in the shop marked "auto" you can turn them on and off individually.
