Well, it's not a proper game, it's just a game parody. Since it's an intelligent parody (of one of the most acclaimed art games), it deserves to be here on Kongregate, even if it's not a game.
I dare to say this is could be defined an art game too.
In point-and-click adventures you have some puzzles, so you do have to think. Here the only thing you have to do is click where the arrows are blinking (except one puzzle -easy indeed). This is why I said there is no interaction and, then, it is not a game. Is like a illustrated book, you only have to turn pages.
it's not a game, there's no interaction. I'd preferred if flipntale made it as an animated short film. interesting, but still not a game.
@Fualkner: paradiso is the Italian word for heaven, it's not just Dante's invention. so I cannot see this work as an extension of Divina Commedia, not as it can't be, for example, an extension of the Bible, Milton's Paradise Lost or WB's Looney Tunes.
incredibly boring. incredibly. the concept is similar to that one in Grid16 (same author) but here there is almost no gameplay at all. in Grid16 he deconstructed playing modes, here there is nothing at all. no gameplay, no story, no jokes, nothing. no worth a second.
Gets boring after 30 seconds. Physics is unrealistic, that becomes clearly visible in advanced levels, when you buy powerful weapons. All missions are the same. Poor gameplay: that upgrade thing apart (unnecessary, although), i do agree with PiLord that hiring systen makes no sense.
There is no punishment for errors, so you can do as spotted by Colorstyle on the second comment. I suggest to put instructions in an introductory screen for each level: I cannot read them while the game is going on and time is passing. There's a need for a button to restart the game, and not just retry the level whenever you fail.
loved the way gameplay meets narration during the final part, i mean from the last, big elevator till the end of the game. (i didn't like much the ending itself, uninspired). it's a shame that some people wouldn't see that best part of the game because of some frustrating puzzles: they're all simple and logical, yes, but when you fail sometimes you do not understand why.
great werewolf design from iLKke.
good idea, poor realization. its parts are unbalanced, controls are not good. that's a pity, because this game is worth a try. anyway, try to reach the end.
nice game, though all you have to do is go around, click everything, and something's gonna happen: suspects become innocent without you having to do anything, even if you do not understand why. game is strictly linear: if does not trace things you've already discover starting your investigation not from the very first room but, as an example, from the last. so, everything looks a bit silly.
it is just a sort of (poorly) interactive cartoon... graphics is good, but gameplay is absent. there is no logic behind puzzles, all you have to do is to click anywhere (if you find all the hotspots) until you get the right sequence. 1 out of 5.
Interesting idea, but needs a lot of improvements. Some puzzles are very difficult for people whose mother tongue isn't English. And the clues are unsubstantial and useless: you have to guess what the developer was thinking, as spotted THX1386 some comments bedore. At last you finish to look upon the official forums, where you find other clues (from players, eh!) and occasionally the solution.
Good idea, bad development.
i'd like to see what happens whenever i fail a level, not just the screen freezed without showing the complete animation of falling pieces. it would help me understand where do i get it wrong.
too much easy, anyway.
think of lefthanders & add some controls customization, or maybe just the possibility of using arrow keys instead of WASD.
3 out of 5 just for this issue.
i ran out of time on level 16 WITHOUT turning red any light... i mean, i did no have cars running... ouch! restarted the same level, and finished with 12'' seconds left onto the timer.
ouch! gotta modify a little that random counter...
