It's meant to be a comment on determinism? Although it seems that the guy was following our will the first time, it turns out that he never could have acted differently than he did?
That kind of thing doesn't really survive the translation into the game format, because the players themselves DO change their input the second time round. Doubt many of the 12yo on Kong would have made the leap to wondering whether they had any real choice in the input they gave either time. :) I'd really like to see an "actual" game with these graphics and music, they tug at my nostalgia gland.
to quote someone below me:
"i dont get it"
yep. that sure shows with a lot of you.
this game could serve as a great metric for estimating the age of people on a portal, because it sure went "woosh" for a lot of the underageb&. ;)
1/5 for the server side of things. if i can't play, i can't really give you points for a game. (which looked okay for the seconds i could actually get to it.)
I AM GOING CRAZY!
NO MATTER WHAT I DO I CAN'T BEAT THE LAST MISSION OF THE FIRST BRANCH!
it's a good thing i love this game, or i would have thrown my computer out my 2nd story window LONG ago! :)
enemies are too accurate and quick, and music mute button to hard to find.
it's a bad sign if i almost close the window before i even start playing because the music is so annoying.
perfect example of a game that could have been great with a bit more thought.
looks beautiful, get's a bit boring after time.
instead of different avatars that you pick at the start, customising your avatar as you pass each checkpoint might be a way to make it more interesting.
