One day long ago, a young boy named Ash Ketchum approached me at the local tavern and said, “You see those two hot broads sitting at the end of the bar? Watch this.” He approached the two blondes and proceded to showcase his extensive collection of gym badges. They appeared unenthused so he pulled out a full sized 6" D-ring office binder from his rear pocket containing his rare foreign antiquated stamp collection, flipped to the page reserved for Soviet Russian stamps minted between the years of 1944 and 1945, and proudly lifted it over his head, heaving the collection the full 4 1/2 feet his minute stature could reach. Still, the two bimbos stared at him with eyes glazed over and merely asked, “Aren’t you a little young to be in here?” That’s when the unthinkable happened. In retaliation to their comment he quickly tore open the plastic sheaths containing his 1944 to 1945 rare Soviet Russian stamps and gave them a lightning fast snap of the tip of his tongue and began pasting them all over the poor girls’ faces. They could have just peeled them off right then and there. To this day I still don’t understand it. After he had gone through his entire 6" D-ring notebook, the girls stood up, walked themselves to the local post office, and mailed themselves to Tahiti. I never saw them again. And as far as what happened to Mr. Ketchum? Last I heard he was seen wandering the streets of downtown Detroit with a 2 stringed ukelele singing a song about his veteran friends Misty and Brock; and he always stops his song at the part about Brock’s tiny eyes.
