Fast forward button needs to be fast f orward MODE. And not work when it wants to, but, you know, ALWAYS? >.> Other than that, f*cking sexy game man, glad you made part 2.
+this up if you like my previous save feature idea (SAve alter, 1 \ 10 floors. Saves once, no other save files. Load because of bug, crash or have to stop = you start at the floor you saved on, CANNOT SAVE AFTER THAT. Useful second chance in case you run into a bug, etc).
Tip : Vampire + str is a good build you say? Try Werewolf with +sta ! Vampires need to smack stuff to regenerate health and can get mobbed. A werewolf with +sta (3 sta 1 str) a level is insanely good for tanking as his passive health regen stacks nicely with STA health regen. I got swarmed to 20% hp by 5 enemies. Ran away for 3-4 seconds and I had 50% health again!
Respecting the fact that the game as it is - and I like it - with the "Go till X kills you get Y rank", I still think you need a "safe" save feature. due to the "lag out and level infinitely" bug of if you suddenly [have to] stop playing for a while.
So how would this work? Simple. Gimmick. You would find a ONE TIME save portal. Every game is its' own save file. Every ten floors or so, to avoid SEVERE loss of gameplay effort, you'd have to hunt down a save portal that will update the save file with your stats but would immediately wipe itself if you ever loaded (Thus preventing abuse). This means that you will not be penalized for, say, the lag-bug happening after 3 hours of play. Or, you get a second chance.
Of course if you die to an enemy you take some kind of penalty so the "Oops you died try from 3 floors below" thing isn't too unbalanced either.
So 15 hours later, at level 22 or so. You know how having 4 party members is often not enough to survive the 3+ aliens that show up? the starter aliens. That now, at LV 22, appear in groups of ATLEAST 3 and start off by spamming an attack that does 40~dmg (50% hp of any member of my party). Meaning they can instakill two members of my party if 4 show up, but usually ATLEAST one. And that's their first turn. Yeah, those aliens.
PLEASE balance this in your next game. Having more of them for more exp gain is fine, but having them be c*nts is not. BEcause not only do they START like that..they have ACC and LUCK OUT THE WAZOO.
I can't hit them. Almost ever. They can hit fine AND their shots are, I sh*t you not, 4\5 times critical! The one wearing a shrt and tie REGULARLY does 40 on his every move! There's atleast 2 of them too so YAY ?
ALso, someone said the keyboard doesn't react. The GAME doesn't react, but it's not the coder's fault. You see, this is a flash game. Adobe is the owner \whatever of Flash format with thei rplayer. Firefox , to begin with, hates Flash. Add onto that that IE was the standard and you have the lazy f*cks at Adobe be too lazy to make MINOR CODE MODIFICATIONS to make THEIR accursed software far more optimized and compatible.
So if you want to blame someone for random input skipping, blame adobe.
@gunviolence : Rofl ? He was the coder for Corporation Inc. That game was a piece of shit riddled with more bugs than gameplay. He *used*to be good >.>
As annoying as the game is (Forget where to tell you to go, LOTS of misses, OP enemies, gun stats not explained too well), It's a very nice, spirited start. I hope the developer(s?) note their shortcomings and take a renewed swing at another game of similar nature. Because that would be f*cking awesome.
*REALLY*hard when you start, and semi-dangerous even later, but very fun. You have to get lucky, not be a cocky bastard since there are no inns. Your best bet is to stock up on potions early. Get party members from the base area but DO NOT LEVEL before you do or their cost goes up too. Fighters ftw.
Method to win : Get Screaming eagles. Cast on turn 1. Attack. Get pirate items for more hp, def and str. Get the most expensive sword after (The "stupid sword"), and then buy the best gear. Spamming attack after screaming eagles in main form does one fourth to one sixth an enemy's health per shot =3. Meanwhile I have 15K hp and they hit ...what, 2K max \turn ?XD
WAYYYY too grindy. I've found TWO of the FIVE mushroom caps I need. FOr hte MOST BASIC quest for the innkeeper. Oh, did I mention finding TWO took me HALF. AN HOUR OF GRINDING?
Oh yeah. And then they \ he \ whomever expect you to pay to equip certain in-game items. Are they korean or just f*cking high?
Nice. The single complaint I have is..make the damn numbers stand out. I thought the final wave had a HUNDRED something enemies....but t was a seven -_-. Likewise, you can mistake NINE for FOUR easily. Or vice versa.
F*cking epic game otherwise.
Holy crap! When the door broke for the first time, the colors changed ...it's a simple thing but dude. Thank you for bringing a bit of that old Amiga feeling back!
