Great. Another laggy flash game because the developer can't manage system resources efficiently. If this guy designed a game with decent graphics you'd need the rent the Tianhe-1A just to run it.
wtf I reinforce a single piece of walkways in every possible way imaginable and it STILL breaks under the weight of a single sheep. I seriously spent like 1500 bucks reinforcing a single piece because it kept breaking, and it keeps breaking.
First off, the swarm of projectiles over the menu is annoying as hell, but having it continue during gameplay makes this about impossible. I don't see how people are even suggesting which upgrades to buy when i can't even last a half second (literally) on the first level because the entire screen is covered in red projectiles. Seriously, the first level loads with the "shield low" warning half the time. Are there even enemies at some point? Or does this crap just come out of nowhere to destroy me?
Weird. Played this last night and I couldn't get past dawn of the 2nd night. Just couldn't keep up. Now I'm not having any problems. I wonder if my computer is running differently and it's affecting the timing of the waves or something.
Better and worse than the first one.
Good: Don't have to protect your fort like the first game.
Far more survivable, cool upgrade system. More room to run around. Good variety.
Bad: Zombies and mosters run around aimlessly most of the time. This would be fine except that rather than make them pose a credible threat, there are simply more of them, which bogs down systems that aren't designed for gaming. My computer's not half bad and the lag made this a chore to play about the time the Tyrant looking big arm zombies started showing up. Nothing as frustrating as watching my dude walk into a thinny and lose like 50 health because the game wasn't responding due to 30 spiders running around ignoring me.
So, the new features are cool but I feel they could have been implemented in a better way. I mean, even with the lag issues I never used a single health pack, whereas the first game I couldn't make it past dawn on the second day no matter what I did.
So, the basic gist of this game is that I get to watch my survivors sit idly by inside a depot while they ignore my allocations until all my resources run out? Awesome effing game. I like it when every minute or so they run back and forth between two depots just to remind me that they do exist, but that they don't actually want to go to any of the workshops.
Evilkid, if you can't move and your aiming cursor is going crazy, try keeping the cursor in the window and check your effed up mouse/ stop fingerbanging your trackpad.
I beat survival pretty easily with an eye at the bottom of a stack, then 3 piercers facing inward, topped by a boost. Same thing on the other side, with 2 more eyes in the middle to keep invisible enemies visible. As long as you have that ability that makes your sword stronger with unused souls, you should be fine because you get stronger as the waves keep coming.
Base defense mission was definitely a challenge. AI during strategy mode has been suggested. I think new units should be selectable in a menu while in strategy mode without having to go back to the building to create them. Like a bar along the top or side of the screen. Also, a rally command to draw in distant units rather than having to run to them and tell them to follow you might cut down on the frustration.
Why the HELL is the only thing that actually looks like a button in the file selection menu the part that starts a new file. I was just clicking fast to get into my game and of course I clicked the one "button" on my file and erased about 4 hours worth of playing.
