July 14 - 17:04 (RFI) by concentrating on building then blitzing rather than wasting time doing early bombing runs. Now to read how Balbanes did it in 9 minutes....
July 14 - 20:36 - initially used 3 collectors to build 1 drone base (for occasional attacks to keep the creeper down) and use the remaining space to build and charge about 4 mortars and 2 blasters in turn, storing them on east hill. Then launched an all-guns-blazing blitz on the plateau, placed OC there, then quiesced most of the mortars as I forged outwards towards the totems. Took a while to perfect the strategy!
I expect we won't see many fast times for 11/12. Is there any way other than building a massive power bank and then launching hell with all guns blazing?
21/3 - 1:44. RFI cos I used a low-tech blaster rather than the flying toys used by the experts :-) And I left it too late to post to hold today's record briefly - congrats RealOldman.
Catching up after holiday. 7/21 - 13:42. Do you top players only post here below a certain time threshold, or only when you've used expert techniques like floating SAMs to achieve superb times?
Ah right, thanks chilese! I thought that going the long way round with collectors would take longer than island-hopping with relays. One lives and learns.
6/3 - 1:35 using 2 relays to reach northeast totem, 2 collectors to reach S totem and floating OC to connect to N totem. Where do you put your "1 floating SAM" guys?
