Disappointing. No puzzles, just a lot of hunt-the-pixel. It's like an escape game from 3-5 years ago.

Well. That's the first time I've ever given five stars to a severely flawed game. I loved the premise, and most of the philosophers' arguments were well handled, but you've got to fix your engine! The text scrolling was slow and cumbersome, especially if you wanted to revisit arguments. Too, more than once I knew what argument I wanted to make, but I couldn't get it to come out of Socrates' mouth (it essentially devolved into challenging four similarly-phrased points with the same phrase off my ideas list. My one complaint about your philosophy is Euthyphro. You debunk him right at the beginning, but then every character takes his failed argument as a refutation of every divine moral system -ever- (Protagoras does so explicitly, but other arguments from elimination imply it). So... Keep trying to improve yourselves, I guess. Game definitely got one thing right!

I just finished my first play-through of the game. Fun engine, great setting, definitely a solid zombie flash game. Plenty of important survival-style balancing decisions to make, I enjoyed it to the very end. That ending was horrible. No, worse, that ending basically said everything I did was 100% pointless. I could've enjoyed having my partner turn, or a happily-ever-after, or men in black helicopters, or even Jack abandoning me on the pier. But instead... Wow.

Very creative idea (4/5). I do wish that the parser could handle phrases like "Thank you" "Why are you programmed to feel fear?" "Why do you not want to die alone?" and "When will the radiation levels be safe?"

I did not like this game nearly as much as the last one. The last game felt like actual detective work (well, like video game detective work). You had to make connections using your own reasoning. This one felt more like a cross between and escape game and "find the difference"-- the game made all of the connections and forced you down a linear path that involved breaking and entering at the drop of a hat. I mean, come on. When your police procedure is less realistic than CSI, you know you're doing something wrong.

Game comments: Knights are... pretty pathetic. Walls have much better defenses, and the damage from a knight just isn't enough to compensate for them costing five times as much. Especially when they die too quickly to deal much damage. Maybe give the knights a "shield" that blocks attacks randomly, or let them attack through walls, or something. Poison arrows don't do much. Archers are sweet, no question. But the poison doesn't really work as a "capstone of awesome" in the way that, say, Lightning does. Maybe give them access to the Champion's bow upgrades or exploding arrowheads or piercing shots or something. Know what would be awesome for the Sorcerer tree? A "rapid casting" skill that reduces the time to fire spells. I'd sink points into that ASAP.

Whew! A fun game, but some parts were annoying. Meta comments-- *Change the hotkeys, there must be twoscore comments about them. Instead of "tab" to switch between two sets of units, put the traps on one row and the weapons on another so that you can pick any of them with just one keystroke (so bow on "1," shotgun on "2," spike trap on "q," barricade on "w," etc). *Add an upgrade/trap/-something- that picks up coins. *Add a Final Boss. The last wave is kind of a letdown-- you build up your defences, you face hordes of enemies, dragons and orcs start pouring into the battle in a steady stream... And that's it. If I can handle one batch of two orcs and a dragon, I can handle fifteen. You need a capstone boss of some kind. *Do more with stars. List the requirements for each rank, put in some kind of a special shop (or secret levels unlocks). Heck, maybe make three "inside the portal" levels unlocked with stars and put the Final Boss on the last portal level.

It's a good game. The learning curve is quite gentle and I never felt like it dragged. One major glitch though. The survival levels ("kill all waves or last X seconds") don't spawn any enemies the second (and successive) times you play them. So the game declares you the winner two seconds after you start the level.

It's like Monty Python and the Holy Grail-- great concept, original humor, and the writers hadn't the foggiest idea how to make an ending. Seriously. By the time you have 100% research completion, your zombie is showing off behaviors that'd make it survive fairly well among humans. But nothing happens, and it takes perhaps half an hour or an hour to realize that the game is over.

Even on the highest difficulty level, the enemy AI almost always refuses to take a piece if its piece would be taken-- to "trade." Even if it would take two of my pieces for one of its own. Even if my vulnerable piece is about to take one of the AI's pieces. Which is silly. So here's an idea. I'm not sure how easy it is to do this in Flash, but maybe assign each piece a "point value"? Then the AI can compare the point values of pieces (maybe adjust them if it's about to lose a piece anyways) and decide whether an exchange is worthwhile. Additionally, the AI should ALWAYS protect the flag. As it is, I've been in this situation: XMX XEX XFX Where M is my piece (a shield dwarf that moves two spaces), E is an enemy piece, F is the enemy flag, and X is an empty space. And the AI does this: EMX XXX XFX Literally committing suicide. That shouldn't happen, ever.

Decent idea, but the controls are weak, there's NO MUTE BUTTON, which is an abomination (especially with repetitive music like this), and all of the timers take a little more than twice as long-- the "survive 90 seconds" level took me 3.2 minutes. That's 204 seconds. Which is more than 90.

Look. In any game EVER, there should be a mute button. Not only that, it should actually MUTE all of the noise that the game makes. If you want to have two buttons, one for sound and one for music, that's fine. But don't ever do this to my ears again.

The wings are such a disappointment-- not only do they disable your attack when you use them, enemies can still hit you. So after a dungeon of watching frogs jump up to become invincible, it turns out that I'm the only person in the whole kingdom who can't hit something when it's in the air. Well, me and the monkey.
