Please, no more of these games. :) I'm tired of launching hedgehogs, penguins and meteors. Maybe it is time to propose some new features in this "genre"?
A bit basic graphic design, mostly common gameplay. Yet, there is something in this game which keeps you playing it. Also because some parts of it are quite disturbing. :) A map would be very useful, indeed, along with some kind of indication when you approch items you can interact with. Nice.
Games like In Company of Myself or Braid or Coma are very good because they melt good gameplay with an introspective setting. This one does not have either, yet it is trying to be a similar game. Needs LOTS of more work to be completed and refined. It is not fun to play.
The idea of a new "evolutionary platform game" is nice and I also appreciated the 4bit graphic style. The problem is that at its core it is a very mediocre platform game with frustrating passages and pixel-perfect jumps. Simply, it is not fun to play.
Not so much original, yet well developed. You have to fix this in order to have it working on Firefox. Also, the menus are horrible and feel too much "default": re-design them with a fantasy theme, it would be much better. Also, after some plays it seems that everything needs to be balanced a bit. Why release a rushed game while with a bit more work you could craft a fine one? Go back to work on it.
Some more comments, as the game actually has a nice gameplay and it is challenging. First, the multi-path levels do not seems to work. What I mean is that monsters just came from one path. Also, there are LOTS of spelling errors in the text. The new change to the interface - which allows to assign an element to the selected crystal - is very dangerous, as you can accidentally assign an element when you are trying to mix two of them. In the end, the price of something is considered in a wrong way when you try to "buy" it: for instance, if you want to buy something which costs 20 points you have to wait till you have 21.
For pdtgames: actualy, there is no bug. To mix two elements you have to: 1) Create 2 elements and keep them in the pool on the right. 2) click on both of them. 3) Click on the "mix elements" button which appears on the upper bar. Tricky, yet it works. The interface needs some reworking...
This seems Gemcraft's poor and dirty brother.
It is well programmed and could even be entertaining. Yet:
- Add a menu with options like "reset level" and so on
- Hire an artist! The background and the maps are way too basic
- The music is way too repetitive
- Try to add a bit of innovation: as it, it is too much similar to Gemcraft
Keep up the work! ;)
