I found spearmen to be quite good, unlike other people. I trained them in 'push' - the tactic is to keep the enemy far back by sequential waves of spearmen, special dash if necessary, and bombs. Because if you knock them off the edge they die.
I thought this game was really well balanced - some hurdles to overcome at times, difficult, but doable. So that you feel accomplished when you reach the end. Just got my Hard badge! :)
>>MAJOR STORYLINE SPOILERS<<
Did anyone else play through the entire game thinking that the 'cure' for the bomb was going to be the infection that the (evil) scientist wanted to have spread out? I thought Globex would be the good guys stopping the virus, woefully misunderstood by the player's group. I was surprised when the cure actually worked :P
romybaku - you will also have had occasions where your characters kept hitting. That's the nature of probability - sometimes it will come out with a miss again and again.
Given that there's heavy, medium and light armours, you shouldn't have a thing of 'one character always the best equipped'. I just picked up an epic robe for my mage, even though my tanking soldier is given priority for equipment. What could he use a robe for?
The inventory system is great. Don't knock it. It's customisable and large, what more could you ask for?
Finally, a fetish is an object that is believed to have magical or spiritual powers. I know what it looks like though :D
My game has broken. The buttons aren't working - for example, if I go to the upgrades, I can't go 'back to menu'. :( I have 2 more alien levels left, I hope it fixes itself.
Alien - Kills: 4 Deaths: 31
Alien - Kills: 4 Deaths: 32
Those humans have some brilliant methods for demotivating enemy troops. See how they've made my soldiers suicidal.
To the continued complaints of rising infestation - you can still grind. You just make sure you get a decent number of survivors, then you can grind getting more ammo. Even with high infestation percentages.
But there is, in fact, no reason to grind apart from getting more ammo/supplies. It's not going to be a grinding game, because grinders are ones where you either gain experience or money to buy weapons.
The only thing this game forces you to do is conserve your ammo - by replaying days you lose some, so you must make sure you have enough survivors to collect ammo before you replay days.
Anyone here, if you are unhappy at the rising infestation level, or the forced reloading, or the non-1hitKO long-range headshots, or the lack of ammo, or the speed of shooting or reloading... Then maybe this isn't the game for you. It rewards you for being tactical and accurate - if you were able to get rewards by grinding, then there would be no reason to be tactical!
Everyone's complaining about the reload thing.
No, there should not be an auto-reload. You want to be able to shoot your last bullet, then switch to a secondary gun.
It's fine to not be able to get out of reloading once you've started - this forces you to be tactical in partial reloading, and keep an eye on your bullet count.
It's cute and enjoyable, and I like it. But we need a sequel with difficulty levels. Was never difficult for me because I've spent too long on the internet typing things. And as a touch typer, I can watch the screen and know if anything is needed, whereas many typers could get themselves killed whilst they are watching their keyboards.
It was still fun though, and the concept is great.
Whaat. What happened with the second storyline? I completed the main and secondary storylines the same day, and all I got was what I think was the main storyline resolved (therapist). So what happened with secondary storyline (MIBs and lady etc.)??
I would like a way to turn off all graphics of the people fighting. My computer is slow and finds it difficult to cope sometimes... But I like the game a lot! I would just like it to run faster.
Am I just really bad at this or what? On story mode, I can't get within two hundred feet of the helicopter. And yes, everything is fully upgraded. I actually have $1.6million spare.
Surprisingly enjoyable, 5/5.
Only thing I would really have liked improved would be that if you send a soldier away (to try and save his life), that he does it, and doesn't keep turning back to fight.
We have by now 3 or more feedbacks recomanding that thing you just sayd , so today we will update soldiers A.I like you requests. Thank you for your feedback.
