Classic Chinese: Take someone's popular work (PvZ), through it into a slightly different setting, add a gun sprite, and call it your own. Forget copyright infringement - just steal their work and ride your revenues off the success of the PvZ franchise.
This could be a really great game! But it's like the developer didn't polish it. These are some of the issues I found in 1 play through:
-The opening story has a giant run on sentence. It makes the developers look ignorant.
-Occasionally, the character will take damage from the bandit archers when no arrows are even close to him
-Northern Plains save point cave has mushrooms that can't be chopped.
-Gold Slayer description typo
-After using a poison cure, the info label still says "Poisoned!"
-Taranchula on the south side of the SouthWest Island spawns on a cactus and can't move
-Blatantly plagiarizing Nintendo creatures isn't cool.
-The lack of invincibility after being hit, as mentioned by many others
-Top transition on the south side of the SouthEast island doesn't line up allowing me to skip "Near The End" quest if I wanted.
So much of the game is well done. Why skip over these small polishing issues? These small issues build up into a pretty big list of problems! For now, 3/5.
I get to the library in Windy City and talk to the mysterious person inside: "Talk with my cousin at the end of the Southern Labyrinth. You can reach the labyrinth...." He just stops talking! Where can I reach the labyrinth? How can I reach the labyrinth?!
I don't doubt there are a few glitches here and there, but overall, great concept and good execution of the game. I like the various layers to make it seem more realistic. If we can get the few glitches resolved that others are having, I see this as being a FABULOUS game!
Neat game. Quick gameplay play. Took a while to get use to dodging the different styles of attack. Overall, nice design for what's here. Not much to it once you learn the dodging. 3/5.
Good game. Navigation of the fighter ships can sometimes be lacking. Often you'll have one or two ships that will decide to go around the planet you are attacking instead of attacking the building they are right next to. This places them right in the path of laser turrets. Or if you are telling you ships to go to a specific location, they'll move 30 or 40 degrees off course for no particular reason. Overall, very well done. 4/5
The boss for level two never did show up. Been flying for a few minutes without a single enemy. I got to the shop, and stopped in there, fought a little more, then the word DREAD came up. Now nothing. Just flying through empty space.
Neat game - I was able to beat it, but found it to be minor glitchy. My character disappeared from the game on the last level after I think I clicked on him. I also tried to move one of the elevators on the last level, and it closed the doors, but wouldn't go. It was like the game stopped recognizing that elevator's existence. I was able to move another elevator to that floor, but the new one just sat on top of the locked elevator, as if it wasn't there. All of this happened on the last level. Had to juggle elevators for a little bit, but was able to beat it. Good game.
Definately needs a save button. Once you get the hang of it, it is definitely beatable. During the first few weeks, if it is not an attack directly on your castle, surrender and save your troops. Pump out troops constantly. Good long game, just needs a save.
