if the energy system was removed you could still make money, people are impatient enough to buy booster packs, heck, make some packs that you can only buy , like new release packs that are exclusive, just remove the god dam energy system, fun game, aside from that stupid energy system/pay2win concept. After the campain you could battle other players or battle ai with increasing difficulty for coins or wtv. Tha packs that people would buy with money would have more chances of getting the good cards.
Some have paid, some have not. There are players out there who are willing and able to devote many hours per day to playing the game, collecting rewards and using those to advance to very high levels. The point is that there are two avenues available for all players - spend your time to acquire things (which means you don't have to spend real money) or spend your money to acquire things (which means you don't have to spend your time). The choice is yours. If you have thoughts on a better model, please feel free to share! The forum is a great place for interactive discussions on these sorts of topics. :)
pro tip, play with a chaos desert character, you will never lose, ever. Just make sure you have the spells to spam thousands of bolts and higher your damage when needed, a triumphant 60 achievement points awaits. and yes, chaos desert is over powered.
very fun game, btw, a good deck would be, 10 gold mines, 3 dwarven boon, 2 dark merchants, 4 chaos urns, 1 reapers bounty, 1 ancient crystal mine, 2 iron mines, one repairs and 15 strong units that dont use too many souls, preferably none. So, you start by playing all the spells, if repairs pops up, save it, keep on playing ur spells until you cant, if there are only units, place the ones you can play in the storage on top, when your portal health is really low (10), use the repairs, then finish up getting ur spells in, then, full force attack with everything, works every time, make sure that your starting hand has 2 gold mines or some dwarven boons.
I Think any support with a good damage dealer is pretty OP if you know how to exploit their tricks.
