I purposely took out the upgrade not-resetting feature so the game doesn't get absurdly easy after the first boss.
There is no such things as upgrades overriding upgrades, if you're talking about the laser, it's meant to replace the default gun.
I see this game as being different enough to warrant being a sequel. Did you even play it for more than 5 seconds, or did you just want to give me a 1/5?
Not really a bug, I made it that way because otherwise there might end up being a possibility of fighting the boss with no weapon powerups, which would suck.
It's so original, it feels unfair XD
The learning curve's kinda steep, and the controls are a bit too sensitive for my taste, but I like the idea and the visible effort.
4/5.
I recommend different wording for "Space to shoot your drugs." That said, I find the enemy fire rate too fast for it to be possible to kill one without getting hit yourself.
I expected a bit more understanding from a guy with the "D" mark, but whatever. If you choose to see what I added as "tiny," I can't change your opinion. It's your rating, do as you wish with it.
As to anybody that says I “copied” homing missiles, lasers, extra weapon powerups, faster shooting powerups, extra lives, different enemy types, more boss weapons, and then some more from the AS3 version of Shoot!, which had none of these...I honestly don't know what to say.
What you have here is pretty far from a "major" graphics overhaul. There's the menus, health bar, bullets, power ups, and more that you can change, and the ship graphics have terrible extraction.
I'll give it credit for actually working, though.
Cloud, I've tested it over and over again on Firefox, and I haven't crashed yet. Nobody else seems to have had that problem either. If your browser randomly crashed while you were playing, please don't rate the game lower just because of that.
Great concept, great gameplay. 5/5
...but it would be nice if the links weren't in places you'd click accidentally (eg: bottom corner, middle of screen in the instantly-appearing game over box)
