Thank you for making this concept into a game. I'm also curious as others here about how you implemented the learning logic - 2 years ago! Unfortunately on the training side this game falls short and needs an update - it's quite hard to imagine how quickly and irreversibly you can overtrain a model so that it still hits the same corner even after 100 more gens. At the moment acceleration/speed is completely unnecessary. Max'd 5 pop and 8 slow/steering and made it to the small u-turn in level 9 with ease.
Grind != content. I think it'll be worthwhile to eliminate the equipment system, make leveling/gold 20-100x faster, and put the focus on triggers rather than on idling. What's the point of writing conditions and actions if 99% of the damage output is from idling and not from writing logic?
Finished on chrome after 2 crashes on FF. Recorded all possible combinations and here's the optimal strategy for resources (1-5) and places (ABCDE), counting left to right, top to bottom:
Initial:
1: ABA, 2: BBB, 3: ABA, 4: ABA, 5: B
After D:
1: ABA, 2: DBD, 3: ABA, 4: ABA, 5: BDD
After C:
1: CBA, 2: DBC, 3: CBA, 4: ACA, 5: BCC
After E:
1: CBA, 2: DEC, 3: CBE, 4: ACE, 5: BEC
Can't shake off the idea that the last level should have featured self-learning AI using password computed from crowd-sourced input. But I suppose we can wait.
Finally!!! Took 100+ tries, never got a chance to start in Madagascar. Winning attempt happened in South Africa, had 3 ships going into Madagascar, the 3rd one did the trick. Now I can sleep well.
What happened?! When I first played this game a long time ago it was awesome, now it lags on every kill. Is the game sending information SYNCHRONOUSLY to Kong API on EACH KILL instead of storing data locally and sending it asynchronously at the end of each level?
5/5, other games need to learn from this one - this genre is all about solving puzzles logically, and not about randomly clicking/dragging in the hope of stumbling onto a solution.
Unarguably the healthiest game on kong yet, I'm going to stop for now and come back when my eyes need a little rest. Suggestion for level 24: (spoiler alert) parallelogram is simply too long for the space age ahead, consider accepting "slightly different alternatives" such as rhombus and trapezoid.
