KXI Systems: If you look below you will see 2 posted times of 3:56 and 5:00 minutes. These were done by 2 of the better regular players. I took about 5.5 minutes. HINTS: Look at moving Odin City near the orange power-ups immediately. Keep your Energy meter and Deficit meters near zero if at all possible while performing your builds. Don't let the Deficit meter get too negative. That usually indicates you are overbuilding. Also, when hawk45 is kind enough to post a picture, study what he did to get clues on good building practices. Good luck.
aranbon - There is no wrong or right way to play the game. I usually play without reactors. Other times I'll play with blasters as the only weapon. The hardest version for me is mortars only and no pause at double speed.
hawk45. Your maps are so efficient. I ususally cover all available land with collectors, but you convert to reactors at some optimal time. I'm assuming the short path to a reactor outweighs the unit build for them compared to outlying collectors. Even with your maps, I can't get near your times.
@aronbon: The credit for ridiculously fast time goes to the few. So far iMiPi (no longer playing), hawk45 and a few others have been gracious enough to post both their times and screenshots. Many times I don't even realize that a killer time can be had until I see an extremely fast time. HINT: Usually these very fast times involve dropping Odin City into the creeper for the final connection to the last totem. Odin City can take a huge amount of damage and still be used to complete the level. For today's challenge, Odin City was hovering back and forth between a collector and the uppermost totem. You must use the Pause button to effectively use this method. While some argue that this is an abuse of the game, I prefer to think of it as merely one variation (fastest time), just like many like to cap all 5 wells. The beauty of this game is that it can be played i many different ways. They are all valid. But at 64 years old, I am happy to take any compliment you youngsters might offer. :-)
1/5 - 1:44 was the best I could do. And I couldn't get near your 1/4 time even with the thoughtfully provided picture. But I do thank you for the impossible goals you present.
hawk45: I see what you did, but couldn't duplicate it in your incredible time. Well played. Dec 28 took me 3:58 as I had to use a mortar . Looking forward to see how you did it with less. :-)
