I love this one too. I hope the designer realizes there are not many turn-based sword and spell dungeon party games on kong worth a hoot. This and monster's den are about it. Not quite the cakewalk that the previous ones were, but still pretty impossible to become even close to total party kill. Just a little more monster variety would make it great. Archers that moved away, or melee characters that didnt just target the closest would be a nice AI improvement. If you're methodical there's no reason to taunt. Just put the unkillable knight up front. Maybe +1 monster type per level and +1 tactic per existing monster would be cool.
I think just a little monster variety would take care of most of the comments you're getting, maybe make 25% of the monsters 1 of 2 special elite types that are say 50% stronger. You'd only have to generate 2 more monsters (and they could even be knockoffs of the two you already have). All three chapters are much too easy. In this one you can just run the king around maxed out and as long as the priestess has 3 righteousness to help heal you, you're fine and don't even need to move the others. Knight and ranger could do likewise.
Really good. A little annoying that the scrolling doesn't start centered. Take level 3 for example, your base isn't even visible at first. Also, make the special base types and units a little more distinct.
Good ides, but little need to do more than spam shooting towers all over the place. Also, on 101 in addition to no badge, they start running around like retards and just wander back and forth.
awesome game. I'd like a total number of shots for my whole campaign so I can try to improve against myself. I too cannot figure out how to play agasint other people's castle.
Pretty, but it's just Tactics Arena with with a little more diablo thrown in. I'm dying for a good turn-based strategy game; I should love this, but I don't. The army screen's a mess. A point/click drag/drop squares game should be clear and quick. use less clicks. Also, the initiative sequence of who's up when is not obvious.
Why do you start with a bunch of moves you don't understand. Leveling up is what these games are all about.
It might as well be a slideshow of animations cause the play's horrid.
