@PeteSF I am always able to solve a section...but then the rest gets messed up. If I start in the corner as you said, I get into trouble with the 5s up top...The 5s in the 1st 2nd and 3rd rows can't seem to all agree
my frustration is that in each new mission it does not default to your best new weapon. I buy something nice and upgrade it, and it takes me a second to realize why I'm not doing any more damage and shooting so slow...maybe I should have picked up on it sooner but don't most games default equip your best/newest bought firearm? like equip #4 slot to start instead of always back to #1?
Turns out I think the issue may have been something with my computer settings, deleting the save as an unrecognized file or something. I'm pretty sure I fixed it as it has been fine ever since. I do love this game and the puzzles are fun. I also love that the developers are invested and respond to comments and questions right away which you don;t always get. Great job
I see, that might indeed have been the case. One of our planned updates will avoid that possible issue by taking the save data into the cloud (and using local data only as a fall-back if it can't connect to the server when you save). Regardless, I'm glad it's working properly for you now.
More specific details to my previous comment: For example, I started a 50x50 puzzle, and get about 3 quarters of the way through it. I then had to do something else. So not wanting to lose all my progress, I chose the "save and quit" option. before closing everything out. When I come bakc and open the puzzle later it's completely blank (thus all of my work was not saved). This has happened multiple times with me on different puzzles in Links and in Squared, and kills my motivation to start all over. There have been a couple times where the save feature has worked, but I have lost faith in it and just stop trusting it.
I really enjoyed this game once I figured out the gameplay. I love little puzzle games like this to multi-task with. Only downside was multiple times now I've lost my progress when I click "save and quit" on big puzzles when I have to leave to do something else. Once I was 75% done with a 50x50 puzzle and I still haven't had the drive to start all over again. I feel like it has a 50-50 chance of actually saving my progress, sometimes it does, sometimes it doesn't....I don't trust it anymore and now just don't start unless I have the time to commit...kind of a bummer
