More than anything, I just wanted to see the way people would react to this contest... and you know the anonymity of the internet brings out the worst in people anyway. Now they have incentive? I might just end up writing a paper about the psychological effects going on here.
Nice game, but just a small heads-up: I really think it should be "vacant planets" instead of "vacation planets" at the story introduction. One means planets that are vacant, unoccupied, while the other means planets that are a very nice place to sit down and relax.
@fighter106: I know what it's supposed to do, but instead of summoning one Insanian Soldier per turn, the Insanian King fills the whole field with Soldiers on the end of the first turn. Which probably shouldn't happen.
I am agree with you my friend, but there are many counter strategies for it. You can have special power like death (drain souls), cleric(wrath of god) which becomes more powerful to balance the situation. The card powering was checked on the multiplayer and AI duels. Our beta tester has checked the balanced using the online databases. Almost all special power has 45 to 55% win and lose ration. These results are taken from millions of duels played all around the world. These results shows that nothing is overpowered and/or under-powered.
I think the Insanian King is bugged, the descrition says it will summon one Insanian Soldier to a random slot, but it fills up every open slot on owner's side with Insanian Soldiers. So either the description is wrong or the loop checking for a random open slot doesn't end correctly (ie: it doesn't remember if it has already placed a Soldier, thus just filling the entire field until no more open slots remain)
At the end of owner's turn Insanian King summons a 4/15 soldier to a random slot of owner. Which mean when your turn ends (the time when your all card complete their attack) it will summon a Insanian soldier. And this process runs at the end of each turn while the king is alive.
@dogburgers: Actually, it's not. Showing your IP is no more dangerous than showing the license plate of your car. Not having a decent firewall etc. when going on the Internet is like leaving your car, windows open, doors unlocked, key in ignition, in a very very bad neighborhood. besides, your IP changes regularly (about every time you disconnect from the internet a.k.a turn off your computer)
Did you actually test this game before uploading? If you did, did you really think it was good enough to upload now instead of improving upon it first?
If you answered "yes" to the above questions, your Uploading License is now revoked.. indefinitely.
Another Pointless Comment On Another Pointless Button Game Which Nobody Is Really Interested In (The Comment, Not The Game) Yet You (Yes you.) Still Took Your Time To Read This So Thank You I Guess.
So, my shop's been here for two day, but there hasn't been any customers yet (I've had plenty of thieves though). Do I have to press some button to open the shop? If so it would be greatly appreciated if it was mentioned in the first level.
No male mage character? What gender discrimination is this? Are you implying males should not be allowed the most powerful positions/characters? What happened to gender equality?
You should add a timer and/or a system to count the how many times you clicked the mouse button/pressed a key. Use Kong API to make highscore tables out of these. (Fastest, least amount of clicks/buttons needed etc.) Add more levels (though right now I don't have any time to come up with some myself). As for the game now, I liked it. Admittedly it was a bit short and there were some spelling/grammar mistakes ("a" where there should be "an", small things like that). But the visual presentation was nice and the idea is well represented (though maybe not so original, but then again, there's a lot of good non-original TD/rpg/rts/puzzle/platformer/etc-games out there).
I give you a 3.5/5 (I'll round it up to 4, 'cause I'm in good mood and you cant give X.5 points ) and you should really expand upon this.
The game got stuck when I reached 26 hours. I did so by waiting in the prison cell until the very last hour and then started cleaning the floor, jumping from 24 to 26 hours. I got the game over message but could not open the logbook. This may be worth looking into.
Quick money 'glitch/cheat': In the first city, save then play the betting game. If you win, save again. If you lose, refresh. (Or win back what you lost, then make some money and then save, the betting game isn't really difficult)
Thanks! I definitely plan to :)
