When I first played this a few days ago, I thought it was merely okay. The changes and rebalancing have really improved the game, though! It's much more fun and I've upped my rating. Thank you for listening to comments and making adjustments!
I think it's neat that you can kind of control how the final picture ends up. When you click, what's under the solid pointer becomes how it is under the ghostly pointer, no matter which image you click on. Neat touch!
It would be nice if, after you change your fighting style, it stays that way, instead of reverting and you having to change it back every single battle.
Just completed Act I -- a good game so far! I just wish that when I'm customizing my avatars, there would be a "female" option. I'm getting annoyed by games only catering to dudes.
Well, I just finished the game a second time (the back-into-the-pit option) and... wait, was that a different ending? Whoa, do we get different endings for perfect completion? Awesome! Now to try it again on challenge mode...
In general, I was doing fine without buying tokens up until level 100 or so -- plenty of time to get all the Kong badges -- but now it seems I have endless streams of customers demanding items that can only be researched through token purchases and now I'm losing money left and right despite having huge stocks of everything I *can* make. Perhaps a little adjustment -- make the cheapest token recipes cost 5 tokens instead of 20 so if we get lucky on the daily gift, we can still get a recipe out of it?
I can't seem to buy any 3rd tier resources, even after having a customer sell them to me (and thus identify them). I can upgrade their respective bins' capacity all I want, but I can't buy any more Dragon's Blood at the end of the day. Is this a bug, or does the ability to buy these resources (using gold, NOT tokens) come from a later quest or something?
All right, so if 8am to 8pm game time takes about 5 minutes real time to pass, why does 8pm to 8am game time take about 10 minutes real time to pass? Surely these days ought to build up at the rate of 1 every 10 minutes instead of 1 every 15. And it used to be 30 minutes? Sheesh.
Excellent, well-balanced game! Just when I would think it was getting too easy, I'd run into a boss who would stomp me into the ground until I figured out a better strategy. (Thanks for making death automatically reset you to just before the battle, by the way.) I look forward to the sequel! 5/5 Oh, minor request for the next chapter: throw in even just one female character portrait, please? I don't care about "female armor" or "female stats", I'm just tired of my avatar usually having to be a dude in this type of game.
For the modes where you must kill specific insects, I wish the insect output wasn't so random. Sometimes it takes a frustratingly long time for your target insect to decide to make an entrance.
I am greatly entertained that I can create a Kitilid with the Marathoner title and make egregious use of the time-honored tactic of "poison your enemy, then run like mad"!
Good game! I really appreciated the mini-map; a thoughtful touch. I ran into one minor bug, in that when I go down a level, whatever spell is in my first spell slot gets replaced with my innate skill (critical hits). Overall, this is well done!
Frequently, the game will cut my run short if I've earned an achievement during the run. Also, what is the point of "Earn $500 with this achievement" if it doesn't actually give you that money to spend on upgrades? Several things seem amiss in this game, even ignoring the spelling.
I found that I quickly developed preferences for certain squares based on what tones they make! It would be nifty to be able to change what sounds they make -- heck, you could probably layer on an entire jazz band. Then again, the floaty, open chords *are* mighty relaxing. Nice game!
