yomahdi, it was intentional. If you'll read the update notes to the right of the game, you'll see that they're planning something that will make this more useful.
Melissa, normal reset gives you lots of angel investors. Every time you start over, you get money much faster. Hard reset takes away all the angel investors that you've earned. You really are starting from nothing.
Suggestion: Sometimes it takes a moment after the game loads before the offline profits are added in. This seems to confuse people when it takes more than a few seconds. There should be a messages saying, "Calculating offline profits." It could be on a sign planted in front of our guy. When the profits are calculated, then the sign would go away.
Right now, the bug fixes we're testing seems to have solved the tabulation delay. If our current build is any indication, the next update will help with a lot of the stability issues and exploits!
I really like the update, but there need to be more visible rewards. The ones you have are spaced out too far apart. How about a few stages of things? So instead of just standing in an empty field until you get a mansion, first you get a shack, then a nice house, and THEN the mansion. Same thing for cars and boats. Even just having more money bags would be nice.
Could you please, please remove the Unity webplayer? Sometimes I have to refresh the game several times because it keeps crashing during loading. You don't need it, nothing in the game comes remotely close to needed what Unity does. I'd really appreciate it.
I don't want to avoid your request, because I know exactly why you're making it. In the short term, for reasons that go beyond AdVenture Capitalist, we're sticking with Unity. However, we hope it has a good lifespan, and we're constantly analyzing the best way to serve our loyal Capitalists. For now I can say a future update (or perhaps the sequel) may be in a different codebase. I can't make any promises beyond that.
This is an interesting game. One problem is that the achievements are written incorrectly. It's not a 50% increase in speed. It's a 100% increase in speed. You could also say that it is a 50% decrease in time. Either way.
When I had 36 boards, actual DPS was less than half what the reported DPS was. Then I bought one more board and all the graphics slowed down, but the DPS sped up to what it should be. I'll take that, but I would have preferred if the graphics had slowed down earlier than board 37 so that I could get my money.
Has the framerate been getting worse for anyone? I used to have no problem playing this game, even on my previous computer which was less powerful. Now I can barely play the last couple of levels and I can't play them at all in the night mode.
We'll tweak this tomorrow. Thanks for the heads up!
