Just finished the 40 meter bridge. All I can add is, all-solid bridges can't be built after a certain length, you have to use a "hanging wood bridge" part between two steel structures.
Close combat is related to XP. Soldiers with 100XP hit about twice per second and kill enemies almost immediatly while green troops get stuck fighting for minutes. On the other subject, airbourne soldiers are -slightly- better than regular soldiers.
I'm currently trying to get Mud and blood and victoria cross medals. I average 150 waves per mission with about 18 soldiers per. Right now I had to set a limit of 15 to 16 soldiers because I used 25+ soldiers per mission to get to colonel in about 15 missions. It'd be nice if you could check your stats other than in the very rare tips.
Anemone: Sometimes there's a tiny rock, almost invisible blocking bazooka shots, try using TNT on that spot to get rid of it. And yeah, paratroopers get damaged when they land on uneven terrain (trees, rocks and branches).
2 tanks, 2 guns and 5 specops tossing grenades to a tiger, got about 30 direct hits and it destroyed my 2 tanks and 2 AT guns followed by my whole squad...
Pretty unbalanced, the starting towers end up being worthless after a few rounds and you end up with upgraded boss towers... or dead. Still, worth playing.
Thanks! And you are welcome ;)
