Yeah - When we had to take a Japanese course last semester, most of us were very overwhelmed by the thought of having to learn two new "alphabets" in two weeks. After the first lesson, I just could not distinguish between the 20 hiragana that I learned that day. That's why I thought to myself, "why not make a GAME to learn all of that?", and so this game was born. The results were as expected: I managed to memorize all the kana in two weeks, and my classmates played this game every day as well. Our class also got higher grades than other classes in previous semesters. Of course this game on its own is not enough, but when taken in conjunction with a Japanese course, it's just the best thing ever! (And yes, the prototype version of this game only took a few hours to make)
