wwwarrick, It really depends on what hero you're using, what upgrades do you take and your play style. If you want to gain some levels quickly, you cold try fighing a savanger by attacking him with a...single target spell (eg. Fireball, Animal Bond etc.) or a consumable (Sleeping Powder, Blinding Powder etc.) but beware, he'll summon 2 elementals and 1 of those will use a Magic Mirror (make a clone) .The scavenger himself isn't of the easiest enemies. Also, you can go here: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1O_znLiHUeh0O29WtwuWlOxoC0x9KgZ8O_wWg0yyIIp0/edit#gid=1162839309 for pretty much anything. I haven't tried the harder difficulties yet but on normal, you'll have the biggest chance with the Pugilist.
cryoblood, YES! I knew I wasn't the only one. Now, there's a thing, called "question factory", which lets you send in questions for the players to review.
400KrispyKremes, all the top players win because they have played for a long time and have memorised the answers. They are, also, part of big clans and you get bonus XP depending on how many active players participate in the clan. Power-ups do play a role but you can use only 1 of each type per battle and they don't give you 100% right answers. So, if you know the question, you can win even against a player that uses a booster. The problem here isn't the boosters. It's the ranking system.
For those wondering about the "What-if" - it lets you try a "partial solution of the puzzle" You get to fill cells and then decide wether or not to actually apply them. Helps a lot when trying out stuff.
The game isn't pay-to-win. Sure, you can pay to have more gold and all that stuff but gold comes on it's own. You don't _have_ to spend 2k every time you don't know an answer and you can only use 1 of each kind of booster per game. Stop complaining about this.
Also, the only character worth playing is Matt. His Attack Pattern has that perfect blend of damage/spray and he has an extra bomb. Lance can't do anythign agains crowds if his mines are down and his damage isn't that great. No legs is...useless and Natalie's sub-weapon runs out pretty fast. Anna is really fun because of her insane Attack Speed but it's not gonna do much against crowds and that sub-weapon is...dissapointing. It would be nice if you could change the attack patterns of Lance and Anna to give them more spread and buff Natalie's sub-attack. Anna also needs a new sub-attack or another buff because right now it's not gonna take down multiple targets without that red aura. Also, remove the extra bomb on Matt and just add it as an upgrade or increase the starting bombs on all characters.
Well, it was good...as far as flash games go. Nice graphics withsome tight moments but it's easy when compared to some of the Touhou games out there(exluding the bosses and bonus stages, of course. Those were perfect). I'd definitely recommend this to somebody, who's new to the genre.
My only complaint would be the stupid...charge bars. With so many creeps/bullets flying at you, you don't have time to wait for your gun to charge. I'll give it 5/5, since it's the best flash bullet hell game I've played (so far).
My only complaint would be that the "stealth" part of it is flawed. I don't mind the guards' sniper vision but the one big handicap is that you can't move, while crouching. Even when in low cover. This means that 90% of the cover is useless. Also, the knife should be fired in the direction of the cursor, not in the direction I am facing because, as it is, it's really awkward. There are some stages, where it's impossible to to pass unseen. The platforming is hard but maybe that's because of the camera angle. Also, as HeadlesHorsemann said, there are almost no ways to dstract the guards. There is a certain stage, where the black part of it is a pit but the game uses black to indicate that there's a wall. On the plus side, it's nice that I can pass the stages with guns blasing or stealthily, although the stealth approach is more difficult and it has nice graphics.
killerplaner, that's why it's called a horror game...and it certainly manages to scare me more than most of the "AAA" titles that come out. That said, Why doesn't Scrpitwielder make a licenced game? He cartainly has talent.
