Well, it's an above average game. Nice graphics (and thank god, a graphical quality setting) with decent music and decent voice acting. The "cutscenes" were amusing while the in-game bits were hit or miss. Now, on to the negatives: the upgrade system isn't very well implemented. What I mean by that is that before one get's upgrades the game is rather tough because the enemies are too bullet-spongy. After one gets most of the offensive upgrades, the game becomes dull because the bear turns into an invincible god of death, provided the player can dodge all the bullets (which is not an issues if you've beaten any of the Touhou games). Also, it would be nice if you can add a hardcore mode for the sequel, since we don't have that many good bullet hell games here on Kong and the bosses in this one show some potential. Finally, make the bullets stand out from the environment more because they blend in a bit too well. 2,5/5 for now.

Toolbuck11, there's a feuture in Hood Episode 1 and it's just tedious as you have to go pixel-hunting until you accidently stumble upon something useful.

...The final boss could use a rework - his attacks are just too slow and he's a lot easier than the other 2. It's a nice game, certainly better than what we get these days but not as good as Forbidden Arms. 4.5/5 from me.

As much as I want to buff the final boss, average players are having a hard time defeating him. It was a bit of a mistake for me to not include a difficulty setting here compared to forbidden arms. (had to learn the hard way.) Still! Thank you so much for the lengthy review. I am so glad you enjoyed it and i am delighted for a 4.5/5 rating.

...The Storm Pengu needs some serious nerfs - he deals just too much damage, both to enemies vunerable and resistant to lightning (the penguin once dealt >1,000 damage, while a normal lightning never exceeded 20) and is able to clear the entire lower (and upper if there are enough enemies) part of the screem all by himself (something that Dragonfall and Chaotic Trance could never achieve). You could make him attack each enemy only once and dart though their lines or give him some sort of HP that drops down each time he strikes an enemy. I'd also like to see those...white shielded knights that spawn with the succubi (the girls that can heal their allies) toned down a bit as they take too long to kill without their shield, which isn't that easy to remove, unless I use the aforementioned ability. Pherhaps their shields could be removed by hitting them with any an arcane spell, lower their numbers or give them lower defenses, while wearing the shield...

The storm pengu is something i designed to be most useful later in the tower, enemies will get 300-500k HP. It gets really tough up there, so a ground equalizer was necessary. (he was already strong before but people were not using him at all (or didnt know how to), so he had the buff and i personally liked it as well as it saved me from certain deaths in the tower. Summon and you just have the flying enemies to worry about.) - Dragonfall and chaotic trance can stack up to 999, and some players were able to utilize that as well in the tower. - Shielded Knights lose their shields with mjolnir instantly. But doing so earlier will be problematic as they run faster without shields. The combustion stat deals with them the best as BURN damage ignores their shield defense.

Well, I finally beat it and I've got to congratulate you for being one of the select few that put quality buttons in their games. It's nice that getting acces to new and powerful spells doesn't make their weaker versions useless, as present in many other games and I love what you did with the upgrade system, as well as the Gobu market money sink (at least that's what I use it for) it's, also, nice to have some secret achievements. Graphics are top-notch, as usual but the game fails when it comes to the music. The one track that plays is okay but gets old as the game progresses, so it would be nice to see 2 or maybe 3 songs next time. My biggest complaint would be the level length. It's okay at the start but stages get too long and tedious near the end as the game was just spamming more and more enemies, plus I had almost everything maxed out by then and was able to smash the opposition. You could remedy that by...well, making fewer levels...

As much as I want to add extra music, I was on my filesize limit. I'll take note of this on the sequel, tho. - I actually understand where you are coming from with the levels. I'll work on it as well on the sequel.

Well, it's a...decent game. Not much to talk about here except a problem in the design. MFP is an amazing example of a game done right, this is not because every level (except Beaver Burger) has an exploitable spot, where one can camp and get infinite free kills - the double doors at the top of the first level, The whole bottom floor of Round 'n Round, the corners of Raid the Roof and Pedro was here, as well as the top door of Tower of Boom. Honestly, if you camp any door, you can bet that nobody is coming out of there alive. To fix it, make the enemies chase me and give the mthe ability to jump (possibly some acrobatic skills, where needed). Also, their invincibility should last until they can shoot back at me and remove the incredible damage on the knife. I don't care if I have to be melee. No weapon should be able to one-shot people and have infinite ammo.

I think that the best solution to the clone probelm would be the one, posted by Arthur1998 in the Stop the cheaters thread - make our own "player pool" with people we trust. It would work best with our current "blacklist" (those players, whom you block, so they can't chat to you). If we don't like someone, we can just block him and not get matched against him again. This way the cheaters will play only against cheaters, the pros will play with pros and the noobs will be able to learn and grow faster with other noobs. Yes, I know that it's hard to code and all but it's probably the only method of eliminating the problem completely.

Seriously, BOOSTERS =/= WIN. They can give you an approximate answer. Sure, sometimes they are correct but nothing beats knowledge. Besides, you can only use 1 booster from each type per game, so you are doomed to fail if you waste them. Now, please, STOP BITCHING ABOUT IT (though a booster-free mode could be fun). Also, remember that something obvious to you could be rocket science for somebody else and vice versa, which means that some people could know when was Levi Strauss born.

MariahR7, I didn't create the thread because I think that I am superior, nor do I think that my opponents, who give those answers are stupid. I think that the ANSWERS are stupid and laughable. There's no way to judge somebody's intelligence by their performence in a video game. Plus, I've also given some weird answers (the human ribcage has 6 pairs of ribs and 12 ribs)

We tweaked the puzzle creation algorithm since the first game. Now it makes sure that the "What if?" mode is never required to complete any puzzle. This has the added bonus of making most puzzles less frustrating to solve as you never really have to wonder if it needs you to go into "2º degree logic" or if you're just missing something more obvious than that.

Also, there should be an option to skip lower levels entirely. Something like winning automatically if your robot has X stats because they (the levels) could get plain boring if you have rebuilt the robot 7-8 times.

That level up animation should be removed or at least add an option to skip it. It's okay at the beginning but since I recieve (multiple) levels every time I pass a stage, it gets pretty annoying.
