Great things: Great graphics. Great Ambience. Sharp controls. Levels and many achievements which give xp. Aliens lurching out from the dark, Weapons and attachments. iPhone-styled scrolling. No locked content/money-grabbing. Great developer responses. Not-so-good things: Easy to get stuck on indiscernible objects. Top weapons (flamethrower and vulcan) weak and disappointing. Weapon menu and terminals take a long time to navigate or display, making it cumbersome to change weapons or buy health/ammo, health, ammo and keys should perhaps be on the same page. Flashlight still on even with NV, blinding at close range. Swarm mode too easy with rocket launcher.
@YellowHappySun in that challenge you need to use the divider to split 1 enemy into many.
It would be nice to see the stats of weapons in the armory, just a suggestion.
There are 2 problems with this game
1: Misleading title
Concept: Save the world in 30 seconds.
Gameplay: Protect the world for 60 seconds.
2: Unlike in the mobile version of this game, the character here has a VERY severe limitation on his vertical movement. This makes even the normal difficulty virtually impossible. Make the character controllable using the mouse.
@PRESTONNORTHEND you could try shooting the rope right next to the boulder, make sure no rope is hanging from it when it's rolling. You can probably nudge the boulder by shooting it as well.
In mission 15 of the alien campaign, we are expected to kill a raze soldier 10 times in 4 minutes. It doesn't help that these guys can eat 3 rockets and not die, spawn with rockets and can shield themselves. This is seriously impossible badge material.
The developer, instead of adding a mute button, calls players "idiots" and stating that "IT'S SAYS THAT M IS FOR MUTE IN THE TUTORIAL YOU IDIOTS". Other players mentioned fundamental flaws in the game's design, making it highly dependent on luck in the later levels. The developer casually dismisses them instead of at least addressing them.
Such arrogant self-contentment deserves no more than a 1/5 rating.
On your second and subsequent playthroughs, your deeper understanding of the characters gained allows you to discover "hidden messages" among portions of the dialogue. This makes the story experience richer and more rewarding. Not many games can make you feel the same way when you play them all over again - it draws you in like no other.
If you were invisible and try to enter the manhole after the alarm expires, the game crashes. Getting achievements is largely based on luck, the movement of the guards/target and even the appearance of the manhole is random. Combine that with the fact that there is no quick way to reset in the middle of a level and you get a very frustrating achievement hunt. Simply playing the game for what it is while ignoring achievements easily makes it a hundred times better.
Just one un-upgraded laser on a floor will kill any enemy, big or small, regardless of quantity, without any of them ever crossing as much as 3/4 of the screen. Surely this is a game breaker. Until this "problem" is fixed, the game is too easy.
To get into the highscores, don't fire your weapon except when it's last resort. Topple enemies over by pushing barricades into them or encourage them to commit suicide with heli movement. Needless to say it's an extremely un-fun way to play the game.
I pressed p because I needed to afk. When I came back, I clicked on the only thing which was available, not knowing it was actually "quit game". Why the hell isn't there a "click here to continue" thing and why did it just quit without giving a notification?
The game's great due to the fact that most 3 stars can be gotten by creatively trying to zap, sawblade or crush all zombies, rather than not missing a single shot.
