So the game's main mechanic is completely broken to oblivion. When I tell you to jump onto a car, I do not tell you to jump through the f***ing top of the car and into the asphalt under the car. It's like trying to open a door before you realize the door is just a painting on a wall.
The way you use the Ability X is such a bad design choice it makes me scratch my head. X or B? Is there any other way to do it? The way it is right now is not very intuitive and almost unusable.
I just get stuck on a screen saying "THE LAST STAND | DEAD ZONE BETA" up in the corner. Is it loading or did the game crash? This has happened on every single attempt to play.
This game is fun and all and the idea of fighting animals for fun is awesome, but the dominant strategy of this game is just forward+X or Z and kicking does nothing.
My only complaint about this game is the fact that when you die, you get bumped back WAY too far. There should be a checkpoint system or SOMETHING, I hate starting whole stages over and over again and playing through what I just did. All things considered, this is a great platformer with one of my favorite moves in video games: I call it THE GOOMBA STOMP(the mid-air spinny thing that makes you bounce off of enemies). 4/5 stars.
I'm noticing massive button delay, I try to use my thorn ability in mid-fight but it doesnt activate until after I kill all the enemies(that's when it activates multiple times in quick succesion) and my character moves where my mouse is because it's still registering mid-fight clicks(this doesn't make sense because I just hold the mouse button to kill things, and the auto-movement glitch appears as if I'm rapidly clicking). So far, this game has a very Diablo feel to it, smashing through lots of enemies, and it is very fun. 5/5
My last comment was maybe too pessimistic, my apologies. The GOOD parts were the game is very arcade like. No need for a shop or any kind of progression system, just score, (height of junk pile) maybe wvery time you kill a boss max health increases and maybe some other attributes but the game is fantastic as it is. Very little need to change anything, 4/5.
The jumping is fine, but the jetpack is a little awkward. Is there some kind of offscreen fuel system? The second boss is a little annoying to fight because of this, I can't consistently dodge his attacks because the jetpack is unreliable. It's also difficult to move left and right when he's above me, and there is tiny bumps of junk to the left and right, I can't get above him due to jetpack derps and therefore I'm forced into his top-side buzzsaw attack(this may be intentional). Overall GREAT game, but it is very bothersome when the only direction available is into damage. This may seem like a negative review, but I rate this game 4/5.
This game my hand the whole way through and I don't like that. It is too linear and the puzzles were too easy even though they don't make any sense and they are flat out illogical.
