Every time an enemy dies for the first five minutes the game lags for a second or two. No 'Quality' button? Thought that was a standard feature in flash games.
I can't believe I'm saying this, but, the controls feel too tight. I think the animation of the shark makes this seem worse than it is. Controls are responsive, yes, but it ultimately felt awkward. The sound/audio leaves a lot to be desired. You've included a lot of exciting noises. They're stimulating and expressive. In my opinion, though, the constant bombardment of screaming, explosions, airplanes, and the bear growl you made into the shark 'bite', I just couldn't stand to listen anymore. Gameplay felt a little mindless. Down, reach bottom, Up, mash A, and repeat. Adding the mini-game of mashing Down makes the game LOOK more engaging, but it's like adding an element to opening a door. It's a mundane button mash to do a repeated activity to make it less boring. In the end, the repeated mashing makes me want it to not happen again. You have a lot of neat elements, yet, they come together as a messy mash-up. I've gone with a 2/5. Best of luck.
Who the hell would think that the iron melts into the sand? I NEVER NEVER NEVER would have come to the conclusion of putting the sword in there. That's ridiculous. Maybe if the game gave ANY sense of direction it'd be good. You shouldn't make a game of puzzles when you don't cater to how the player would actually try to accomplish said puzzles. I watched the walkthrough and was amazed to see these solutions. Just dumb.
You can constantly move items backwards on the conveyor belt until you mess up and it moves off the screen. This way you can organize you inventory or hold items until later.
Protips:
For the first few waves don't use your Stun Spell. Keep the mana cost low to keep high damage towers at bay. Start using it around 50-75% damage mark. Quake will be your go to spell early on. You can sometimes stall an entire map. Let your healers do their job for free. Heal is on a need to cast basis. Try not to over-heal; let low-health units get to about a quarter. Max out Infamy, Summons, Heal/Shield Auras, Turtle/Goblin Health, Mana/Spells, Other Health in roughly that order. Don't be afraid to put one into all castle tech. Let the passives do work for you. Hope that helps.
@punksush1... I don't agree with this at all. I buy games too. You can also get over 20 hours out of this game without getting the premium edition. You can even complete challenges without it. Let the guy make some money so he CAN make it better and market it.
6,386,799 for the letting go badge... i played it with the default settings and mostly strafed left and right right at the top of the screen... once you get to ~60 yellow you'll end up getting almost every note that falls... hope that helps.
Please up this for the developer. If you exit the armory without taking the dynamite the game won't let you back in the armory. Also at this point you can climb the rope back up but the camera stays stationary and your character disappears off the screen.
