The swing radius should be improved, but the stun of the glooples is part of the game, i mean, if u read the 1000 gloople achievement, it says "at this point it should become clear that these are the most dangerous in the game (...)"

the cursor is shows the direction you throw the anomaly, and they appear when they hit a wall, but they appear to go through some walls :S
