A tip to fight farmers: The higher your max resource the better, so if youre ware is low, upgrade it using this trick if youre bein farmed
Dont fight back unless you have a big defending army, bigger than theirs would be better. MAKE SURE TO HAVE MANY BATTLEMENTS, THEY SPAWN AFTER EVERY BATTLE. If youre in trouble, save up as many resources as you can, and spend them at a time that would give you the most use, mainly just before being attacked. Use all your resources on troops or defending, dont level up useless things like taverns or whatever. Build up your forces and eventually you will be a force to be dealt with, and you can dter enemies.
THE BEST WAY TO STOP FAMERS IS TO BE FRIENDLY. send them a msg in game and the above help wont be needed in the first place!
