Yep. Upgrades are planned for the future. There are a lot of ideas, but if I tried to do all of them, the game would never be done. So consider this version 1.
super easy if you never upgrade the size of the mana pool in the menu. Upgrade it tons during the game, mind you, but don't buy the upgrade with experience points. Instead, just upgrade the mana regen. You basically have unlimited mana after a few in-game mana pool upgrades. It looks like a design oversight to me.
Ah, so 20 minutes after giving up trying to get the badge, it appears while I'm playing a different game. The lag demons must have been holding it prisoner.
