Beat it, not too hard. Maxed out sniper rifle first along with damage, then kept getting better turrets. When I had 2 of the strongest turrets, I had 2k saved up for my 3rd one. But... a wave of at least 6 of those Golden Tanks had come in and I was about to die. Quickly, I spent the point to bring my fortification from level 0 to level 3... Went from 23 HP left to 3000 HP left at the end of that wave. Close call! From there, I realized I needed my tools, so I upped Damage, Duration, Cooldown time, and then grabbed my 3rd turret. I'm just glad that there was an actual end to the game, instead of the waves becoming exponentially difficult until they were impossible.
Hehe... for the cow/chicken puzzle, I didn't know how to solve it without guessing and then either going higher or lower from there to find the answer. Sooo... I wrote a program on my TI-83+ that did it for me. :-) #Chickens=X, #Cows=Y, Legs=L and Heads=H. Start X=H and Y=0, test if the condition (2X)+(3Y)=L. If it doesn't, X=(X-1) and Y=(Y+1). Test condition again, repeat until true. Once condition is true, you have the # of Chickens and Cows. ~~~~ If anybody want's any help, drop by The Nanaverse chat room.
Wow.... 1200 gems would cost you $168.14. That's a ridiculous amount of Kreds, let alone actual cash spent on a lame browser game? Runescape would give you way more content for $5 a month... Ha! You could play RS for nearly 3 years (33 months) for the cost of 1200 gems.
I made it to level 15 before I finally ran out of energy... you just need to use some good strategy in order to keep leveling up just in time to replenish your energy again. I messed up and fell 10% xp short of what I needed for my next recharge.
My overkill mostly relied on placement. (And infinite waves/bubbles.) I had a mega mega tower filled with three 4x4 splash towers. (Splash towers give you more total damage then sniper towers.) The 4th part of the attacking Mega Mega tower had 1 Sniper for the range and 1 Machine Gun tower for the attack speed. After that, it was multipliers. 3 Mega Mega Damage boosters, 2 Mega Damage Boosters, 3 regular Damage Boosters, and 2 Fire Rate Boosters. I'm fairly certain it's impossible to get any more boosters adjacent to your damage dealing tower. Now, I just need to test and see if the Mega Mega even needs the sniper to give the range boost, as well as whether replacing 3/4 splash towers in the starting Megas with Damage Boosters will give me more damage.
Best overkill that I've managed to accomplish so far is 9.769 MILLION Damage. The tower does splash damage, has a reload of 1, and 787 range. Just passed wave 1988 and I'm still one hitting everything. ......... I'm confident that if I moved a few things around I'd be able to get the damage even higher... I'll try later to break 10 million. Heh, any questions? :D
For a Mega tower... just get a high dmg, fast firing shockwave tower and use boosters to have it cover the entire map.... You have splash dmg that's hitting every creep on the screen constantly.
For a bit more of a challenge, select the harder difficulty, and beat the levels out of order. For example, I finished levels 4-1 and 4-2 without doing any of the levels behind door 3. Had 5 dwarves, 5 mages and 2 clerics.
Anyway, waaay too easy for a TD game, no real strategy.
So, what exactly is the Adept good at? Thieves have the most Evade, Soldiers have the most HP, Necros have the highest starting stats, and Monks have the best odds for a stat increase on level up....
What about adepts?
Not that hard, in the early levels you simply need to pay attention to the waves your facing and utilize the weaknesses of the mobs.
After that first little hurdle of scant upgrade points, I've yet to meet a level that 15 fully upgraded sniper towers can't beat while I go make myself some lunch. I'm beating levels with 30k left over without being at my keyboard now.
The game gets 4/5. It's a good TD, it's just unfortunate that there is no incentive to beat the maps on the harder difficulties. If you got say, 1 point for easy, 2 for normal and 3 for beating a hard level, then I would've given this game 5/5.
If the author needs a reason that you still need to leave the planet...
You're able to defend a city, one city. You can not push the creep back off of every square kilometer of the planet. What the creep touches it destroys, therefore the entire ecosystem of the planet is laid to waste, nothing is left alive aside from your little patch that you've managed to defend.
You're fleeing a dead planet.
The last level is really easy, it's just the first one to actually require you to think.
And ya... putting a demo up is one thing, but putting a demo of a demo up is really rather pathetic.
[Additional Comment[ Just noticed you already have a bestiary, sorry about that. And I'm pretty sure that award system wasn't there the last time I played :-P Kudos for putting that in, regardless of when you did so. I like that you actually get a benefit from getting the awards. Is the damage bonus color specific?
[Comment Split 1] I made it to level 27 on medium difficulty and killed 473 enemies.
I was delighted to find sound effects in the game! But this was set back by the very short looping sound track, I was forced to mute the sounds to keep the annoying BGM away. Please update with better (Or at least longer looping) BGM. As well, the ability to just mute music and retain SFX would be great, as then I could just put in my own tunes and still have the satisfying sound of the guns firing.
With max bullet speed upgraded it seemed to me as if a very large degree of tracing was still required. It is necessary to lead your shots as part of the gameplay, but with max bullet speed I believe this should be noticeably reduced.
