The death penalty of a permanent loss of 2 HP is far too punishing. Even if it is a small amount, in the early stages when every bit of HP counts and you keep running into the over powered mages (being able to hit you for 5-21 damage whilst having the same amount of HP as every other enemy). Healing outside of battle would be great. Having the horrible money sink of paying resources to go to different locations is very annoying if you're just starting out, too.
