The people at the top of the leaderboards are clearly savants or something. I'm pretty pleased with my 575 using only my laptop 'nipple' pointer. Developer, can we have a 'nipple' leaderboard, please? The first time in internet history the word 'nipple' hasn't had a kinky connotation/url :)
Do not rate Xiao's comment up, rate it down if anything. It's a massive spoiler for an awesome game. You only get that hint after you've finished the game 1st time around. Rate it down so people can't see it and get maximum enjoyment.
Ignoring how awesome this game is for a moment, isn't it a PLEASURE not to be asked to purchase bonus coins/silver/credits with real-life money after every turn in a game? As a result, I will gladly buy the phone app. Developers of lesser games, please take note.
Sweet. Sell posters for free, make $4,000,000,000. Going to try this in real life now, just handed in my notice and I shall become poster baron of the universe. Mwahaha.
If I can give all Kongregites one piece of life advice, please please do not play this game with a hangover. Even though it's shortened my life by at least 10 years, it's still 5/5 - anyone that rates it lower is clearly of inferior brain power :)
5.) The rage button kills this game stone dead for me. It needs to be made more of a privilege to use. By the end, I was killing most zombies in one hit with rage/excalibur/beer helmet combo. Using it should be a significant drain on your own resources - probably HP as well as stamina.
I think it's potentially a great game, but a few tweaks would take it from 4.5* to 5*.
That went on far longer than I was hoping. All the best, top effort.
2.) When digging, give the player some 'extras' to increase the longevity of the game. This could include mini-games. Digging simply to find the treasures is very linear and becomes tedious after you cross the river.
3.) Re: The tavern games. Once you have passed 7/8 levels, there is little point gambling, especially for shove-hapenny as the stakes are simply too low.
4.) I don't know if you have played the wildly successful 'Puzzle Quest', but they deal with recurring enemies by giving them various 'boosts', so instead of a level with all the chainsaw Kings being the same, would it be possible to enable some variance in their skillets?
I played this and finished it this morning, here are a few observations for the developer (if he/she/it is reading).
1.) After level 12/13 you have more than enough weaponry/experience to conquer 99% of the enemies you face. A slightly deeper combat system would address this and give a greater sense of depth to the gameplay.
Either spread the weaponry out more through the game, or make the variance between the weapons narrower. Also with the various power-ups, there needs be more negative consequences - for example, the beer helmet (the best helmet, imo): give this 'a hangover', after battle player loses strength and vitality for x-period for example.
It's a rare game which has this game (toy)'s level of charm, wit & fun. It's like a Flash-based Monty Python sketch - or about 40 sketches in fact. Round of applause to the developer.
A far better game than its current score would suggest, but is no more than a 5-minute diversion. I know a few girls who'd be p*ssed at the connotation of 'because girls play games too', ftr.
Nice idea in principle, but I'd like to see the mouse control improved - including the addition of a slightly bigger cursor/pointer. It might be that my 28-year-old eyes are finally failing me, but It's very difficult to see, and you often end up with the mouse off the game screen and selecting everything in your browser window instead.
The option for keyboard control would also make the game far more playable for some (err.. me).
Good effort though.
From a laptop/travelling gamer, it's great to have a FPS that doesn't reply on aiming with the trackpad and movement with the WASD keys. Excellent effort to all involved.
No lag for me, and a pretty nice diversion after playing some of the more epic games on here.
Deserves a good audience, good for a 5 minute smoke break in work :)
OOOH MATRON!
