Let me add: even if the play is potentially repetitive, the game feels well-made, which is so rare on kongregate.
In my opinion, this game is best played a few minutes at a time, when you want a distraction.
Incredibly buggy. I could never buy the mortar or machine gun, despite having the money. Sometimes you hit 1 or 2, and the wrong units get selected, etc.
How the hell do you design four of these without fixing the way you pick up weapons. Every five seconds, I walk over a weapon, and it forces me to switch, whether I want to or not.
I don't see how it would hurt the game if you didn't have to walk back and forth across the screen to pick up ammo. Seems like it's just an annoyance that doesn't change the skill factor.
The first time I tried to save, the game froze completely. Later, it stopped freezing, but it would take almost a minute between clicking the button and being able to do anything else.
The ship AIs could use some work. They're targeting a building, and I explicitly tell them to turn around and move away from the planet. They stay attacking the building. Etc.
Has anyone else noticed that you can often go through the enemy's shots without getting hit? It's really off-putting, and makes the game feel poorly made.
Fun game, but there's a lot of details that are screwed up. The intructions last too long and can't be skipped, pausing gives a penalty instead of using a black screen, you can't tell when invincibility is over, and it's harder to see the triangles. (Hello12345678 is mostly right).
The biggest thing is that the sensitivity of the controls aren't quite right.
Two ideas: once you finish the game, you should be able to turn off invincible mode, so that you can still play around with the tanks and have it not be boring. Maybe some kind of extra hard bubbles?
Second, history might be nice or at least some way to tell whether you profited or lost bubbles in a recent fight. (Maybe this would be too complicated to do easily).
Great game. I'm surprised people said it lacked direction, or that the map was useless. I figured that you were just wandering around the bubbles fighting enemies pretty easily.
Tiny thing: when you lay mines, you can go over them with your ship, but they look the exact same as the enemies mines, so you can confuse them.
The instructions you've got on the webpage talk about attack, but the in game instructions only give control for "swipe", as if we know that this is the standard attack. Why in god's name didn't you say "attack?" Just careless.
