The controls are pretty sloppy - or I'm getting some odd lag? The game seems to pause every second or so, which means precision landings are out of the question.
I'd guess it's lag... I had this kind of problem on an older computer (on the early stages of development).
Try removing the filter. Since it used a bitmap the size of the game screen, it's quite slow to render...
You can also try decreasing the quality.
On 'low' all particles are removed and it runs at 30 fps while on 'high' it can emit lots of particles (in a non-optimized way) and runs at 60 fps, so yeah... it can be somewhat demanding.
It's not clear to me how the stars are determined, or what power I have over their assignment - most of the points seem to be earned after I have reached my 'goal', when the game seems to autoplay.
Argh! I type too quickly for the game to register - I have to slow down my typing, which screws up my touch typing. Any way to fix this, please? Love the concept...
For the achievements, I'd like to see my current level (for example, Click Count, to see how many clicks I have made to see how many I have left before I get the next achievement).
This is a clone of "Crazy Raptor Rider", also published by TheGames8. It wasn't a good game back then, and it still isn't now. Instead of just changing the "raptor" to "monster", how about bringing some improvements to the gameplay?
Great game, lots of fun! A couple things I'd like to see: 1) A "run away" button if you accidentally chose the wrong fight but want to continue that adventure. 2) Add an "orange" character, and rearrange the colours so you've got the three primaries and the three combinations: red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple.
@Alpha89, I had the same problem - apparently you have to HOLD DOWN your mouse and then the tower will shoot depending on the rate of the selected instrument. Clicking on an enemy to shoot them won't work.
@themastercheif: you have to press Z to activate Eagle Eye - you'll see a sort of red "radar" haze in front of your line of sight. Enemies, chests, etc will show up as colored dots.
There's something addictive about this sort of game. The first time I played it, I said "hmm. interesting." and moved on. But then I came back to it, played a bit more, got some upgrades.... and then got tired of grinding and moved on. But it stayed in the back of my mind. "With that new boost of my missiles, what will I be able to kill? What will the new boat be like?" And so on. So I'm back. and there's another two hours gone - but I enjoyed it! :)
