Alright, leaving behind all my grievances with multiplayer badges. All I ask is that if two people get matched, and one times out on the accept... The person who times out gets removed from matchmaking, not the person who clicked accept.
Thanks
i'll try to go over the matchmaking and try to make some improvements in the next few days :)
[update] : i have now uploaded a new version that should fix this issue
Fun game, short, sweet, yet not lacking on solid mechanics.
However something that I would love to see is the ability to hold down the fire button. rather then frantically clicking.
Thank you. I play games for the stories they tell, and you told a simple, compelling, and beautiful one.
I hope you create more games, perhaps sequels, perhaps games within the same universe, or completely new things altogether. Because you understood and masterfully executed storytelling, and I want to hear/read/experience more stories from you! Again, thank you
I've been putting this game off for over a year now I guess.
Because I knew it'd be the type of game I'd have to sit and just enjoy. Which I did, this and CoM are just beautiful, the type of games where the puzzles blend in, I didn't notice the puzzles for ages, I simply just enjoyed the game. Major kudos, I'm just going to go ponder my life and cry a little.
Thank you
3.
Evolving A.I
This would only really work in tourney mode.
My idea is that every car would have 1 - 5 stats, strength, speed, etc whatever you would want to add.
Then after each match they would get a certain amount of skill points to put in, and the would put them in depending on what served them best in the previous races and what they the individual cars felt they needed.
So a long tourney would eventually lead to each car being different from the others, and perhaps have that effect what moods they're prone too.
4.
track saving, if you like the "course" you built, allow you to save it locally?
5. Starting speed
6. Starting cars
I'm sure there are more I could think of, BUT THIS GAME IS AMAZING, such a great idea 5/5 stars! I can only hope you make a sequel.
Such a gorgeous game. A few ideas, if you ever make a sequel(please do)!
1. various game modes:
A. race, you set a time limit, and a finish line "terrain piece" is placed when you reach the time limit. Any cars that get onto the terrain piece "win"
B. Last man standing, last car to be alive wins
C. Sandbox
2. campaign/tourney mode.
You would pick the game mode, A or B
Then the amount of games the cars will play.
After each match the winner gets a point, whoever has the most point at the end wins!
To all who don't understand, NOT BEING ABLE TO BRING STUFF BACK IS THE POINT! Otherwise their would be no challenge, might as well add health regen, mana regen, and the ability to go up and down floors as you please. Once you get to that point, you are better off playing a game that was designed around that idea.
Wonderful level design the evolving levels made the level curve almost perfect, however once the invisible walls started I found the double jumping became almost intolerable. Just in general I found the controls were not nearly as responsive as I would have hoped, however the level design kept me coming back. 4/5
Quickly losing will to finish this, so many great aspects, till you get to the last few levels where the double jumping becomes seriously spotty. I love the level design, I loved the difficulty curve, the ideas. 5/5 there. But seriously, fix the controls, maybe it's just me but I feel like when I get the double jump back is really random. Which is throwing me off, and making it very hard to want to finish it.
Too easy...
Now I'm not just saying this, there were 3 maybe 4 checkpoints in the boss fight? I died 3 or 4 times, and after each death, I realized oh, well now that he has used his new attack to defeat me, it saved, now I don't need to remember how to beat the old attack patterns she used.
Still very fun, I enjoyed the gameplay immensely
Why?
